Anutin Campaigns in Chumphon, Urges Bhumjaithai to Win Entire Province Responds to Chaiyachonok Comments on Not Aligning with Pheu Thai as Personal Opinion

Anutin leads the campaign in Chumphon, asking Bhumjaithai to win the entire province. He clearly promises the Khon La Khrueng program will return. Responding to the 'Chaiyachonok' issue, he declares he can join hands with the 'Orange Party - Kla Party' but not with Pheu Thai, stating this is his personal opinion.

At 09:00 on 17 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of Bhumjaithai Party, accompanied by his wife Miss Thanon Niramis and party leader Mr. Eknat Phonpan, campaigned in Chumphon Province. Upon arrival at Chumphon Airport, Bhumjaithai parliamentary candidates for Chumphon Province welcomed them, along with former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Mrs. Mananya Thaiset and Mr. Chumpol Julsai.

Additionally, local residents gathered to take photos and cheer for number 37, which is Bhumjaithai's candidate number. They hugged and took photos with Mr. Anutin, who asked them to vote for number 37.

Then, Mr. Anutin and his team traveled in a white Alphard car, license plate KT 5757 Chumphon, to their first campaign stop at Tha Sae Municipality Market in Tha Sae District, Chumphon. As he got out of the car, local people and market vendors cheered loudly, calling to vote for number 37. Many embraced him, gave flowers, and took photos along the way. Some praised him as "handsome in person" and admired the Khon La Khrueng project. Mr. Anutin responded with a plus sign gesture. Several people offered him amulets, which he put in his pocket, said Mr. Kittisak Phromrat.

Mr. Anutin then spoke from a campaign vehicle, emphasizing that it took over half an hour to reach the car amid warm support. This was his first time visiting Tha Sae District, and he felt very welcomed. He sincerely thanked everyone for the reception and urged voters on 8 Feb to use their rights to elect representatives who work for the community. He expressed hope they wouldn't be disappointed. He noted all three candidates from Chumphon had number 4, indicating local support for Bhumjaithai winning the entire province. These three are considered his key supporters, so he urged voters not only to choose number 4 but also number 37 for Bhumjaithai, otherwise he would struggle to keep up. He assured that the Khon La Khrueng Phase 2 program will definitely return, along with welfare for village health volunteers and the elderly. He promised to fulfill all commitments made to the people.

"The warm reception felt like coming to ask for a Chumphon daughter’s hand in marriage, but it wasn’t — I already have a wife from Ranong. But Chumphon and Ranong are neighboring provinces. I have my wife in Ranong but my heart is in Chumphon too. If I say I won't forget anyone except parliamentary candidates Luk Mee, Luk Chang, and Mayor Tong, who invited me to Chumphon — the one who pulled me from bed this morning was Minister Eknat Phonpan who introduced me to this group. The prime minister and those candidates have respect for Eknat. My son can’t talk to Luk Mee — Luk Mee would snap at him; he can’t talk to Luk Chang — Luk Chang would strike him. So my son should drink ginger water instead, to gain strength and energy. I asked my brother Ging to help invite quality candidates from Chumphon. I admit Chumphon is strong and has potential, and Bhumjaithai is strong here because of these three. So today I entrust myself here and hope to come back often."

Mr. Anutin concluded by saying that if Bhumjaithai wins all the parliamentary seats in Chumphon, the people will get what they want. He said, "That’s easy, no need to just talk — just do it and speak later." He added that he is learning the southern dialect and after 3–4 years still isn’t fluent.

Mr. Anutin planned to continue campaigning at Khao Pib Fresh Market in Thung Tako District, Don Wa Market in Kron Subdistrict, Sawi District, and Chumphon Municipal Fresh Market. In the evening, he would proceed to Prachuap Khiri Khan Province to campaign at the walking street before returning to Bangkok.

Later, Mr. Anutin gave an interview about his first visit to Chumphon, saying the images tell the story: Bhumjaithai was warmly welcomed, thanks to confidence in the candidates, who are former MPs and provincial council members familiar with and dedicated to serving Chumphon residents. He sees Chumphon as highly potential and hopes the people will trust and confidently elect Bhumjaithai candidates to serve both the nation and Chumphon.

When asked about how confident Chumphon is, Mr. Anutin said, "Wow," pointing to each candidate. He stated Chumphon may now be a stronghold for Bhumjaithai because of strong candidates who are reliable for the people. He only got to know the Chumphon team about a year ago and did not expect them to be this strong.

"This reflects the power and trust people have in their representatives, which should set an example. I want everyone to have confidence in themselves and trust me and Bhumjaithai just as the people of Chumphon trust their MPs. This can be set as a KPI."

Responding to the issue of 'Chaiyachonok' not aligning with Pheu Thai as a personal opinion,

Mr. Anutin spoke about the case where Mr. Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, leader of the Progressives and campaign assistant for the People's Party, stated that if the Blue Party gains first place, the Orange Party will become the opposition. He said he had not heard this directly yet and would wait to hear before responding to avoid conflict. Regarding Mr. Chaiyachonok Chidchob, secretary-general of Bhumjaithai, stating that today, aside from the lèse-majesté law issue, the parties that can collaborate include the People's Party and the Kla Party, but not Pheu Thai due to past links with scammers, Mr. Anutin said he had not discussed this with Chaiyachonok but acknowledged he has the right to express his opinion.

When asked if Chaiyachonok’s statement reflects a personal stance, Mr. Anutin said all matters must be discussed in the party executive committee meetings, but everyone is free to express personal opinions beforehand.
