Supachai vows to give her all in the Bangkok election without setting a target for how many constituencies to win, focusing instead on helping the people. Meanwhile, Supamas points out there is no final curve, just a straight run to the finish line, asking for a chance to elect the Bhumjaithai team ready to work immediately.
At 09:05 on 17 Jan 2026 at Khlong Chan Market in Bangkok, Supachai Suthamphan, Minister of Commerce and campaign assistant for the Bhumjaithai Party (BJT), spoke after visiting to help campaign for Thitiphas Chotidetchainan, candidate for Bangkok MP in constituency 14. She said today she walked at Khlong Chan Botanical Garden on Nawamin 10 Alley, feeling lively seeing many people shopping and exercising. She greeted and listened to their problems and suggestions for improvement, considering it a way to get to know the local people better to help address their issues.
When asked about problems reflected by vendors, Supachai said many requested the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" program to stimulate the economy and boost activity. She expressed willingness to support this, as well as requests to help with market stall arrangements and provide lighting at night. Thitiphas Chotidetchainan actively took note because she is familiar to the people. They must work together; Supachai focuses on policy while the candidate looks after the area, requiring cooperation and coordination.
Asked about policies that would make Bangkok more livable, Supachai said the policies relate to community issues, aiming to stimulate economic activity. This includes "Khon La Khrueng Plus" and reducing electricity costs to 3 baht per unit for up to 200 units, helping small communities. Regarding SMEs, they are exploring ways to help products reach markets and possibly enhance online sales skills.
Supachai said the area has quite a few elderly residents. They talked with seniors locally and believe their policies for the elderly, including community nurses to care for seniors and employment support, are relevant. They have policies offering tax deductions for companies hiring seniors—up to 30,000 baht per month—and 50% tax relief for seniors working, capped at 1.5 million baht. They will look for any gaps and provide additional support.
When asked if there is a target number of Bangkok MPs to win, Supachai said based on feedback, there is interest in voting, such as in Bang Kapi constituency where people are already volunteering. Their goal is not about the number but about how they can help people in each area. When asked if she is confident about securing Bangkok seats, Supachai said nothing is certain, but they are fully committed.
A reporter asked about campaign plans with just over 20 days left. Supachai said she has duties to fulfill and today is a holiday, so she could help. If given the chance, she will assist again. Actually, her walk today was not for campaigning but to understand the area. If given the opportunity to work there, she can use that information to inform policy decisions.
Regarding whether appearances on programs and debate stages have improved public response, especially on social media, boosting confidence, Supachai said she never views such events as debates but as opportunities to explain what she wants to do. She has no intention to oppose others since everyone’s policies belong to them. She just does her best. Positive responses give encouragement and she is grateful.
Supachai affirmed that all policies must benefit the people, communities, and businesses. They are committed to doing their best. Receiving encouragement feels like the policies they have planned truly benefit people, communities, and businesses alike.
Meanwhile, Supamas Isarapakdee, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Bhumjaithai leader overseeing Bangkok, spoke about the party’s strategic plan before the 8 Feb election. She said the party is meeting people everywhere to listen to unresolved problems from earlier and develop policies and plans for implementation if they return to government. Party leader and prime ministerial candidate Anutin Charnvirakul emphasized there is no final stretch; they run straight from start to finish, working hard every day.
Supamas said all Bhumjaithai leaders, including Anutin Charnvirakul, Sihasak Puangketkaew (prime ministerial candidate), Supachai, Ekniti Nititapprapas, and others, are fully engaged daily until election day. She asked for a chance for the Bhumjaithai team, as everyone is ready to serve and help the people after the election.
