"Lisa" launched a campaign in Nakhon Si Thammarat, declaring the end of the "electric pole" era and confirming this election will definitely bring change to erase the gray image of "Nakhon Si Thammarat." "electric pole" here refers to past political patronage practices.
On 17 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Pakamon Noon-anun, a party-list MP candidate for the People’s Party, visited Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, to campaign in support of Mr. Pakorn Areekul, known as “Man,” candidate for MP in Nakhon Si Thammarat District 1, number 4, from the People’s Party. The event drew strong interest from local residents.
Ms. Pakamon expressed confidence after meeting locals that this election in Nakhon Si Thammarat District 1 would mark a historic turning point. Surveying the area with the largest population in the South, she sensed clear changes as people expressed awakening and a firm message: “No more of the old ways.” She added that the old saying, “Southerners vote for those who put up electric poles,” no longer applies in today’s era.
Ms. Pakamon emphasized that people in Nakhon Si Thammarat and the South desire transparent politics and politicians brave enough to scrutinize and protect the public’s interest. The People’s Party has demonstrated this through consistent, rigorous work, gaining growing local support. Despite being a major city, Nakhon Si Thammarat suffers from a negative image of gray and black influence undermining society. It is now essential to send “Man Pakorn” to serve, as he is firmly committed to "defeating gray influence and blocking conflicts of interest" to restore dignity to the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat. The party’s flag planting in District 1 will symbolize that this land will no longer be the same if the People’s Party forms the government.
