At 11:00 a.m. on 17 Jan 2026 at the Southern Thai Association under Royal Patronage, Mr. Peerapun Sareerathwipak, leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart party (RTSC), along with Naraphat Kaewthong, Colonel Fuangwit Anirutthewa, deputy party leaders, Prakornsak Chunhawun, party executive committee member, Ms. Sasikan Wattanajan, and Mr. Adisorn Phoan, RTSC deputy spokesperson, jointly launched the election caravan. "The South Must Be Better." The campaign will cover all 14 southern provinces amid a lively atmosphere with many supporters gathered to welcome the caravan.
Mr. Peerapun said this caravan launch builds on the successful Northeast campaign, where the party received enthusiastic support. In the previous election, RTSC earned nearly 800,000 votes in the Northeast and secured more parliamentary seats than expected, as people trusted the party's policies, such as agricultural support and a universal welfare payment of 1,500 baht. During his two years as Minister of Energy, he helped citizens save over 270 billion baht by keeping gas prices at 423 baht per cylinder, despite higher costs at that time. Currently, the cost has fallen to 20 baht per kilogram, but prices have risen. If RTSC returns to government, it promises to reduce LPG prices to 360 baht per cylinder.
Mr. Peerapun added that he wants to emphasize the "Offshore Prison" policy to handle serious offenders, which has drawn strong public interest and support in many areas. He said many can make campaign promises, but what matters is whether they can deliver. Most importantly, he asserted, "No one can buy me except the people's interests." Number 6 will never disappoint. He called on everyone to join together to solve the country's crisis. At the event, Mr. Peerapun and RTSC executives posed with the "Bus of Hope Route 6" and Big Bike Number 6, key highlights of the campaign.
Regarding the southern caravan, "The South Must Be Better." The caravan will start from Bangkok at the Southern Thai Association under Royal Patronage, proceed to Chumphon Province, and spread across all 14 southern provinces until 7 Feb 2026. Prominent influencers will join the caravan to raise awareness among young people about solving the country’s crisis.
