“Sabida” Campaigns in Nakhon Si Thammarat Urging Thai Muslim Voters to Choose Both Candidates and Party

“Sabida” appeals to people in Nakhon Si Thammarat, supporting “Uayporn Sri-Rachit,” two Bhumjaithai candidates for parliament, and urges Thai Muslim voters to choose both candidates and party. Meanwhile, “Chaiyachonok” speaks openly about the importance of not letting politics consume one's identity, while “Eknat” declares that Bhumjaithai’s blue color is not gray.

On 17 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Sabida Thaiset, party-list MP candidate and Bhumjaithai party leader, visited the Wat Nond Intersection Market and Saengchan Mosque in Pho Thong Subdistrict, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. She campaigned for Ms. Uayporn Sri Chaowalit, candidate number 1 for constituency 8 of Bhumjaithai, encouraging residents and market vendors at Wat Nond Intersection Market to vote on 8 February. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with locals welcoming her and engaging in discussions about daily life challenges.

Ms. Sabida explained that this visit aimed to gain votes for Bhumjaithai candidates across all nine constituencies in Nakhon Si Thammarat and stressed the importance of voting to help shape the nation's future direction.

Ms. Sabida stated that the party’s top priority policy is national security, especially border area protection, strengthening border defenses, and safeguarding national sovereignty. This goes hand in hand with supporting the economy and people’s livelihoods, urgent matters that must progress together to improve quality of life and livelihood stability. At the same time, Bhumjaithai prioritizes education policies as the foundation for the country’s future, aiming to provide quality education access to children, youth, and all age groups to develop human resources.

Additionally, Ms. Sabida campaigned with Mr. Rachit Sudphum, candidate number 5 for constituency 1 in Nakhon Si Thammarat from Bhumjaithai, at Al-Muwahhidin School and Garahmad Mosque in Hua Thale Village, Na Khian Subdistrict. She urged people to vote on 8 February and support both constituency candidates and party number 37 to continue past efforts. She cited an example of Bhumjaithai’s support for Thai Muslims, noting that nearly three years of work helped reduce costs by almost 300 million baht for those performing the Hajj pilgrimage.

“Chaiyachonok” opens up about his political journey, transforming Bhumjaithai into a new-generation party, emphasizing the need to preserve one’s identity from being consumed by politics.

Mr. Chaiyachonok Chidchob, Bhumjaithai party secretary-general, shared about his political work within the party, including involvement in developing Thai football and building a world-class racing circuit in Buriram Province. He previously served as a border soldier and spent nearly a year as a Buddhist monk before joining Bhumjaithai to drive change, eventually becoming a minister helping the country overcome various crises.

Mr. Chaiyachonok added that Bhumjaithai has improved positively, becoming a party that listens to the people and opens opportunities for talented young politicians to join the party’s executive committee and hold key government positions. Past achievements prove the party’s capability to handle crises better than before.

“The goal is to change the country, which must start with politics, but every change faces resistance. The most important thing is that I must not be consumed by politics. I will dedicate myself and remain true to who I am to benefit the nation,” Mr. Chaiyachonok said.

“Eknat” declares Bhumjaithai’s blue color is not gray.

Meanwhile, Mr. Eknat Phomphan, Bhumjaithai party-list candidate, responded to criticism that Bhumjaithai supports the 'gray zone.' He stated the crucial question and concern is the issue of 'there is us, there is no gray.' He affirmed that Bhumjaithai is blue, not gray.

“For me, anyone can look at the work done when I was Minister of Industry. From day one, I fought against the gray capital and zero-dollar business groups. I combated illegal industrial waste imports, announcing my fight until several factories were shut down. Although my team and I faced lawsuits demanding billions in damages, the harm to those parties was an inevitable consequence and a benefit that Thai people deserve. For me, there is only black and white,” he said.
