
Election 2026: Voters are reminded that there is no advance referendum voting for this election. They must go to the polling station and cast their ballots on the actual voting day, 8 February, only. Don’t forget to check your polling station to confirm whether your name is registered in-district or out-of-district before voting.
On 17 January 2026, the constitutional amendment referendum allows voters to cast ballots outside their registered electoral district, but only if it is in a different province from their registered home address. Voting will be open nationwide on the same day only, 8 February 2026. The referendum ballot will be yellow and will ask the question: “Do you approve that there should be a new constitution?” Voters will mark their choice by crossing the box to approve, disapprove, or to decline to state their opinion.
Citizens are reminded that tearing the ballot is prohibited by law, and no marks or symbols other than a cross in the numbered box are allowed. Violating this will cause the ballot to be considered invalid.
