Sudarat Campaigns in Ubon Ratchathani, Calls for Honest Politics and National Anti-Corruption Agenda

Khun Ying Sudarat, leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party, campaigned in Ubon Ratchathani, inviting all parties to sign a "No Corruption" community pact. She announced a movement to make anti-corruption a national agenda, declaring that anyone caught cheating will immediately be removed by citizens' petition.

18 Jan 2026 GMT+7 Khun Ying Sudarat Keyuphant, leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party and prime ministerial candidate, visited the economic district of Ubon Ratchathani to campaign, meeting vendors and residents to seek votes for Wisarut Sawatwora, also known as Teacher Off, the Thai Sang Thai Party candidate for MP of constituency 1. She discussed livelihood and economic downturn issues, with residents agreeing that high living costs, decreased income, and deeply rooted corruption in politics and bureaucracy are major problems. This aligns with Khun Ying Sudarat’s stance to make anti-corruption a national priority, supporting citizens’ rights to petition with 50,000 signatures to remove corrupt politicians—including the prime minister, ministers, MPs, senators, independent organizations, and constitutional court judges who act dishonestly.

“If they cheat, these individuals must be removed from office by the people, alongside real-time budget transparency measures to create openness and systematically close corruption loopholes.”

Khun Ying Sudarat added that Thai citizens lose over 500 billion baht annually to corruption, causing poverty and underdevelopment. Despite the national budget increasing to nearly 4 trillion baht yearly, it has not truly improved citizens’ quality of life. Without solving corruption, Thailand’s economy will grow less than 2% annually for a long period. The OECD estimates that corruption causes Thailand’s GDP to shrink by 3% each year.

Meanwhile, the Thai Sang Thai Party leader reaffirmed her firm commitment to honest politics. On her first day in politics, she managed four major ministries and oversaw a budget exceeding one trillion baht without corruption. “I have the experience and know how to prevent corruption. Moreover, I do not cheat, and I can prevent others from cheating the nation.”

At the same time, the Thai Sang Thai Party also promotes policies to restructure the bureaucracy by suspending 1,000 licenses that hinder livelihoods, revolutionize education by offering free university degrees by age 18, and improve quality of life at every stage through child development coupons and public pensions. These initiatives aim to create equal opportunities, revive the economy, and restore Thailand’s sustainable strength in the 2026 election.
