Peerapun Campaigns in Ubon Ratchathani and Sisaket, Emphasizing Unity, Anti-Corruption, and Sovereignty Protection

Peerapun campaigns in Ubon Ratchathani, promoting policies to overhaul the energy system, fight corruption, and protect sovereignty. He emphasizes he will never betray the nation before visiting Kantharalak Market in Sisaket Province, proposing energy price cuts, increased elderly allowances, and revitalization of the border economy.

18 Jan 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Peerapun Saliratwipak, leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party and prime minister candidate, along with Mr. Witthaya Kaewparadai, Colonel Fuangwitch Anirutthewa, deputy party leaders, and Mr. Kriangkrai Mas Pojanasunthorn (Kendo), deputy party spokesperson, visited the Ratchathani Asoke community in Ubon Ratchathani Province to meet residents and present party policies, receiving a warm welcome from locals and youth.

On this occasion, Mr. Peerapun shared his political beginnings, saying he was inspired by his father's teachings to use knowledge to help others. He cited the Black May incident in 1992 as a turning point that led him to resign as a judge and run for parliament in 1996, believing that “if good people do not enter politics, the country will fall because of bad politicians.”

At the same time, Mr. Peerapun emphasized the core policies of Ruam Thai Sang Chart to improve citizens’ quality of life: overhauling the energy system to reduce living and electricity costs, seriously combating corruption, protecting sovereignty by upholding national interests, uplifting farmers, and creating universal welfare.

“The election will be held on 8 February. I hope Ruam Thai Sang Chart receives support from the people of Ratchathani Asoke. I promise to perform my duties to the best of my ability and will never betray this land,” he said.

Later, Mr. Peerapun visited Kantharalak Market in Sisaket Province, meeting citizens and vendors, presenting party policies aimed at solving livelihood issues. He was warmly welcomed by people asking for photos and offering encouragement. He greeted many elderly vendors and proposed increasing allowances for the elderly and disabled to 1,500 baht to provide more secure and comprehensive welfare.

Additionally, a major concern for vendors is the rising fuel prices, directly affecting transportation costs over long distances, along with a decrease in customer numbers. Vendors also expressed issues with unstable border trade, making livelihoods difficult. They expressed hope that Mr. Peerapun and Ruam Thai Sang Chart will help resolve unrest along the border to restore vibrant trade conditions.
