Pheu Thai Unveils New Campaign Innovation: EV Vehicles Touring Bangkok

Yotsanan launched a fleet of high-tech EV campaign vehicles across Bangkok, while Jatuporn urged the Election Commission to rapidly increase referendum ratings, fearing that people might lose their voting rights.

On 19 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai’s prime ministerial candidate, led the launch of an electric vehicle (EV) campaign fleet to canvass throughout Bangkok. A key feature is a smart screen that automatically changes the candidate’s number based on the district the vehicle passes, making it easier to remember policies and candidate numbers.

Yotsanan emphasized that this campaign communicates environmentally friendly pollution reduction policies and aims to create a sustainable EV industry chain for Thai people. He invited supporters who see the campaign vehicles anywhere to wave and greet them immediately.

Meanwhile, Jatuporn Chaisang, chairman of Pheu Thai’s referendum campaign committee, thanked the Election Commission for clarifying freedom in campaigning but expressed concern that publicity remains insufficient. He proposed the Election Commission increase nationwide explanatory forums, especially creating space for both supporters and opponents to exchange views via mainstream media. He urged the Election Commission to remind the public that this referendum concerns the principles of drafting a new constitution, with the content of the constitution to follow, to prevent confusion that might discourage voters from participating on 8 Feb.
