Anutin campaigns in Sai Mai district, hoping to establish the blue flag in Bangkok. He strongly criticizes a former Move Forward party candidate for playing dirty games and spreading fake news, firmly denying that Bhumjaithai is involved following allegations of vote-buying at 7,000 baht.
At 16:30 on 19 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and prime ministerial candidate, visited Sai Mai district to support Mr. Aekphop Luangprasert, known as Aek Sai Mai Tong Rod, Bhumjaithai candidate for Bangkok's 11th constituency. In the 2023 election, he ranked third. Anutin had planned to visit Sai Mai earlier but rescheduled due to crane collapse incidents in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and on Rama II Road, choosing to visit today instead.
Anutin visited the Bhumjaithai coordination center in Sai Mai to meet and talk with community leaders, Bangkok Health Volunteers (อสส.), and Civil Defense Volunteers (อปพร.) to hear their concerns. He then went to Pratuengthip Wittaya School to speak with students before visiting Wat Ko Market to meet merchants and shoppers, encouraging support for candidate numbers 37 and others. The atmosphere was lively, with many people taking photos with Anutin.
Later, Anutin spoke about campaigning in Sai Mai, Bangkok, saying every area is important for Bhumjaithai. Regarding expectations in Bangkok, he confirmed spending much time there and receiving warm support and welcome everywhere he went.
When asked if the party might surprise by establishing a stronghold in many Bangkok areas, Anutin said they are doing their best. He noted that all candidates, especially Aekphop, have experience in social welfare and volunteer work, with a close understanding of Sai Mai residents. If they win, it wouldn't be a surprise. He emphasized every candidate must have a background in volunteer work to serve the public effectively. Asked about the organic campaign approach, Anutin smiled and responded, "How should I answer? You reporters would not follow me like this if the feedback wasn't good."
At the same time, Anutin commented on a case where a former Move Forward party list candidate posted that Dr. Chaiyut Kransut, founder of Italian-Thai company, is his maternal uncle, implying Anutin is his true nephew. Anutin said he already issued a clarification. His mother’s surname is Bei, the same as Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa; they are Cantonese from Suri Yothai Alley near Wat Don, Yannawa District, and have no relation whatsoever.
"Nowadays, there is no more 'Khao-Hai-Hua-Rok' (a satirical magazine). When I was young, it published jokes and untrue stories. But I never expected someone of this level of education to play such dirty games," he said.
When asked if he would take legal action, Anutin said the party will handle it. Personally, he is not offended, but if it causes misunderstanding about the party or discomfort among Bhumjaithai candidates by misleading the public and potentially losing popularity, there is a right to pursue legal measures. However, he stressed it is not from him. When asked if he worries about discredit campaigns in the final stretch, Anutin exclaimed, "Oh wow," then said, "If I worried all the time, I'd just stay home."
Additionally, Anutin spoke about Police Lieutenant General Kamronwit Thoopkrajang, or Big Jad, the Chief Executive of Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, who openly supports the Kla Tham Party, although previously he said he would assist Bhumjaithai. Anutin said, "He still says he loves me; you have to ask fully." He further revealed that different political approaches are normal, but his relationship with Police Lieutenant General Kamronwit remains close and mutually respectful at all times, with no problems, even though they don’t often communicate.
Regarding politics in Pathum Thani Province, Anutin said, "In the name of the game," "In politics, we must do our best to earn the trust of the people but avoid harming others outside the game and avoid writing misleading news or demeaning other parties. We should follow Bhumjaithai’s example by focusing on work without considering how others might be affected, letting the public see our efforts and benefits. We do not disparage or harshly criticize others."
At 16:45 at Pratuengthip Wittaya School, Anutin addressed rumors that vote-buying in Bangkok is as high as 7,000 baht, firmly denying that Bhumjaithai is involved. When asked if he had information on which party might be responsible, he replied that Bhumjaithai does not engage in such practices and does not pay attention to other parties. When pressed to confirm if Bhumjaithai’s campaign is truly organic, Anutin said, "It's not organic in that way, because within Bhumjaithai, things are a bit unusual; we have a culture of working together like this."
