“Yotsanan” Campaigns for Comprehensive Flood Solutions Across Sukhothai Province, Urges Support for Pheu Thai MPs

“Yotsanan” leads a team to Sukhothai, campaigning for a major overhaul and investment to solve flooding across the province, including building dams to slow the Yom River. Flood-receiving areas will receive fair compensation. He calls on the people of Sukhothai to support Pheu Thai MPs across the province.

At 10:00 a.m. on 20 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at Sukhothai Agricultural and Technology College in Sukhothai Province, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai party’s prime ministerial candidate, led a delegation to support Pheu Thai candidates in all four electoral districts: District 1, Ms. Nakkhanang Kulnathsiri; District 2, Mr. Chusak Keerimasthong; District 3, Ms. Praphaporn Thongpaknam; and District 4, Mr. Jakkawan Chaivirath. The atmosphere was lively.

Mr. Yotsanan said in his speech that he came to Sukhothai to reaffirm that today the entire province is solidly behind the party. No matter how many times the party is dissolved, it always returns stronger, with its spirit unchanged. Pheu Thai’s heart is with the people. He called on all four districts in Sukhothai to rally behind him. If given the chance, he will turn everyone’s dreams into reality by eliminating all debt, including household and informal debts. He is confident this will not harm fiscal discipline, as Pheu Thai knows how to raise funds and does not only spend. Regarding flood problems in Sukhothai, he plans a comprehensive system overhaul to transform Sukhothai into a livable city. Flooding is caused by degraded upstream forests, and currently, the Yom River lacks dams to slow water flow. Therefore, restoring upstream forests and building dams to slow the Yom River are necessary. Incoming floodwaters must be diverted to prevent them from entering urban areas. Some areas serve as flood catchments, and those affected must receive fair compensation during periods when farming is impossible. The water management system requires a major overhaul and investment. Many speak about water issues, but few know how to raise funds and implement projects as Pheu Thai can. The plan includes digging small ponds so farmers will have water year-round.
