Army Inscribes Names of 43 Brave Soldiers from Thai-Cambodian War on Memorial Wall

The Royal Thai Army has inscribed the names of 43 brave soldiers who died during the Thai-Cambodian conflict onto the Army Memorial Wall.

On 21 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters, the names of soldiers who died in the two rounds of fighting between Thailand and Cambodia in 2025 were inscribed on the Army Memorial Wall. A wreath-laying ceremony honoring the sacrifices of these heroes was held on 18 January during Army Day.

All 43 names were inscribed under the section for national defense battlefields. The first period, from 24 July to 23 August 2025, includes 16 soldiers who died fighting in Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Surin, and Buriram provinces. The second period, from 7 to 27 December 2025, includes 27 soldiers who died in four areas of southern Isan and Sa Kaeo province. These names represent all soldiers who lost their lives defending Thailand’s sovereignty along the Thai-Cambodian border during both conflicts.
