On 21 Jan 2026, reporters stated that the Election Commission (EC) has opened the system for eligible voters to check their voting rights for 2026. This includes the voting day, electoral district, polling station, voting location, and their position on the voter list, effective immediately.
Citizens can enter their 13-digit national ID number and check via two channels as follows.

Additionally, eligible voters can check information for both MP elections and the referendum using the Smart Vote Application, available from today.
For the 2026 election, advance voting will be held on 1 Feb 2026, during which voters will receive 2 ballots: the MP constituency ballot (green) and the MP party-list ballot (pink). On the official election day, 8 Feb 2026, voters will receive 3 ballots: the MP constituency (green), MP party-list (pink), and the referendum ballot (yellow). Referendum voting is only available on 8 Feb 2026.
Voters are reminded not to tear their ballots, as this is illegal, and must not mark any symbol other than a cross in the designated box, or the ballot will be considered invalid.
