Where to Check Voter Eligibility for the 8 Feb Election and Advance Voting Days by the Election Commission

Check voter eligibility for 2026 on both the advance voting day, 1 Feb, and the official voting day, 8 Feb. Remember clearly the ballot paper colors for 2026: which one is for candidate votes, which for party votes, and which for referendum voting. Be cautious not to confuse them.

On 22 Jan 2026, the Election Commission announced that 8 Feb 2026 will be the general election and referendum voting day. Meanwhile, 1 Feb 2026 is designated as the advance voting day, emphasizing that only votes for preferred parties and constituency MPs can be cast then. To vote in the referendum for constitutional amendment, voters must do so on 8 Feb 2026 exclusively.

For the 2026 election, on advance voting day, 1 Feb 2026, voters will receive two ballot papers: the constituency MP ballot (green) and the party list MP ballot (pink). On the official voting day, 8 Feb 2026, voters will receive three ballots: constituency MP (green), party list MP (pink), and referendum ballot (yellow). It is reiterated that referendum voting is only possible on 8 Feb 2026.
