Yotsanan Pledges to Make Udon Thani a Global Hub, Urges Voters to Give All 10 Districts to Pheu Thai

Thousands in Udon Thani flocked to hear Yotsanan speak at Thung Sri Muang, declaring his intent to establish Udon Thani as the center for trade, herbal medicine, sports, and tourism in Isan. He appealed that this goal could not be achieved unless all 10 districts are won by Pheu Thai.

On 22 January 2026 at 18:15, Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai's prime ministerial candidate, accompanied by Phumtham Vechayachai, party-list MP candidate, and Nattawut Saiyakoa, Pheu Thai campaign assistant, held a major rally at Thung Sri Muang, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. This was the final event supporting Pheu Thai candidates across all 10 Udon Thani constituencies: Komon Teethananon (District 1, No. 2), Hathairat Petchpanomphon (District 2, No. 1), Samak Boonpok (District 3, No. 2), Traiphop Kamphuet (District 4, No. 3), Karavee Sarakham (District 5, No. 2), Prachachat Saenkaew (District 6, No. 2), Theerachai Saenkaew (District 7, No. 6), Kriangsak Faisyngam (District 8, No. 8), Watcharapon Khaokham (District 9, No. 6), and Tiabjutha Khaokham (District 10, No. 5). The atmosphere was lively with over ten thousand attendees filling the area. People brought marigold garlands, local sausages, spicy fermented fish dip, and crispy rice crackers as offerings. During a group photo with the candidates, the crowd simultaneously lit their phone flashes as a backdrop.

Yotsanan said in his speech: “Today I ask for one thing only: can we sweep all of Udon Thani? I want to tell everyone that the day of hope and dreams is about to begin. On 8 February, we volunteer to lead the charge to turn your hopes into reality immediately and transform Udon forever. Today, beyond this speech, I want to share a bit of my vision so you can see what a completely red nation looks like. Of course, we want to change the country's income, but it must start with our Udon Thani, the stronghold of Pheu Thai, never to change. The heart of this is the people. I never thought I could speak this loudly because I feel like I’m home. Accept Yotsanan as one of your own. I ask you to entrust me here. If I become prime minister, I will come visit often. I cannot do this alone. Can we sweep all 10 districts?”

Yotsanan continued: “We must move forward with our policies. Pheu Thai’s philosophy is to reduce expenses, increase income, and expand opportunities for our people in Udon. To transform the country into a high-income nation, we must first increase Udon’s income. The first step is to nurture the roots, not just the leaves. The grassroots people are vital. This time, we will solve the entire debt problem for our people. Anyone with bad debt up to 200,000 baht will have it forgiven immediately. Senior citizens with bad debt will also have it wiped out. Farmers will be granted debt moratoriums. We must do this. Many earn less than 3,000 baht per month; the government will help restore their dignity, ensuring all Thais live without poverty. Additionally, we must fix the country’s flood and drought problems.”

Yotsanan added: “Regarding SMEs, we will help our people sell better and stimulate the economy. The half-half co-payment scheme is a good program, but when people are struggling, even 50% support is insufficient. This time, Pheu Thai proposes an economic stimulus with the government covering 70% and people 30%. Besides debt relief, Udon Thani can produce high-value agricultural products by processing herbal medicines. Udon will become the herbal capital. Udon also has strong sports traditions; if we establish sports schools for all kinds of athletes, careers will follow. Let’s start with making Udon better. Also, Udon will be a tourism hub. We will establish it as a landmark the world must visit.”

“Udon Thani must thrive in trade and be the investment and commercial center of Isan. Do you agree? None of this can happen if Udon is not truly Pheu Thai’s Udon. I ask for all 10 districts of Udon,” Yotsanan declared.
