Thanathorn led a team to Narathiwat to rally southern residents, stressing their serious commitment and urging people to stop believing rumors, firmly denying any intention to raise their hand in support of Anutin as prime minister.
On 23 January 2026, the campaign atmosphere in Narathiwat was very lively when Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, chairman of the Progressive Movement and campaign assistant for the People’s Party, together with Romadon Panjor, visited the area to seek southern votes. They highlighted the stance “People’s Party Means Business,” proving over the past eight years that they are not afraid of influence, tackling every issue from police ticket corruption, military conscript abuse, to exposing scammer networks and energy monopolies that cause high electricity bills for Thai people.
Thanathorn said the party faces heavy attacks because those in power fear that if the People’s Party forms the government, it will “settle accounts” and restructure corrupt benefit systems. He warned Muslim communities and Narathiwat residents not to accept vote-buying, which violates both the law and religious principles, emphasizing that accepting money is selling the future of their children. If they want Narathiwat to have peace, tourists, and vitality, they must be brave enough to change by marking both ballots.
Thanathorn also confirmed that the People’s Party will definitely not nominate Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, as prime minister. He urged citizens not to believe false information attempting to distort the party’s position during the final stretch before the 8 February election.
