Pol Gen Seripisut Denies Issues with Prachachon Party, Criticizes Ice Rakchanok for Superficial Campaigning

Pol Gen Seripisut said there is nothing going on with the Orange Party; he even helped campaign for them recently. When he met Pichan, the latter greeted him out of respect for his seniority. He criticized Ice Rakchanok's local campaigning as merely for show, intended to create images for social media.

On 23 January 2026, Pol Gen Seripisut Temiyavet, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, commented on the incident where Miss Rakchanok Srinok, a party-list candidate for the Prachachon Party, did not greet him while passing by during campaigning at Soi Lalai Sap in the Silom area of Bangkok on 22 January 2026. When asked if there might still be tensions between the Prachachon Party and Seri Ruam Thai Party, he said there was none, explaining that their campaign styles differ. He campaigns closely with both constituency and party-list candidates, thoroughly explaining policies to the public. In contrast, he said the Orange Party’s campaigning is merely for show, involving walking around and arranging for many reporters to be present just to generate social media images.

"I was walking and handing out cards, not knowing the Orange Party would come. After a while, they arrived and just walked through. The Orange Party leaders, Ice the candidate, and reporters followed closely. They walked without talking to anyone to create an image for social media. They probably didn't think much of me, just didn't expect me to be there. They walked by and moved on, and I thought maybe they hadn't considered it. That’s fine, I consider it normal."

Pol Gen Seripisut added that two days earlier, he campaigned near Huai Khwang, and the Orange Party appeared similarly. They met, but Prachachon leader Pichan Chaowaphatthanawong greeted him politely because he is senior, and they exchanged greetings amicably. Pichan said he was not campaigning in that area but would help advertise for him and asked which number he was running under, as they were not competitors. Even when eating, he met Orange Party candidates and greeted them, offering to help campaign. That is the truth. He did not think anything of it, but then considered that Miss Rakchanok might have avoided interaction because she feared questions, so she just walked by. There is nothing to it.
