"Teng Natthapong" appealed to the people of Lamphun, asking if any province is cooler than this one, which has two prime ministers, "Heng" and "Teng." He stressed the need to end the political cycle of capital withdrawal and return power to the common people. Meanwhile, locals shouted asking if their daughters could get concert tickets, to which he confidently replied that this AI Prime Minister can definitely manage that.
On 23 January 2026, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People’s Party and prime ministerial candidate, campaigned for the Lamphun MP candidate of the People’s Party. His speech followed that of Mr. Weeradej Phipisit, chief of the Lamphun Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), who gave a passionate address, prompting Mr. Natthapong to joke, "Let’s take a photo now that the speeches are over," before calling for a show of hands from those wanting another Prime Minister Teng.
Mr. Natthapong said Lamphun is the province with the greatest opportunity to make history again for the People’s Party, something that makes all of us proud.
"Not only did we get the PAO chief as the first for the Orange Party, but here we will be the first province to have two prime ministers named Prime Minister Heng and Prime Minister Teng. Which province could be cooler than this? None," Mr. Natthapong said.
Mr. Natthapong stated that the fundamental value of the People’s Party is equality. We speak through real work. Looking around at every dimension and area of Thailand, inequality remains: richer people have a better quality of life than the poor. In less than a year here in Lamphun, electric buses have already arrived.
Besides the electric buses, public health services, such as the Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals (SHPH), have now added equipment, dental clinics, and physiotherapy services. We bring doctors as close as possible to your homes. Our Prime Minister Heng has arranged student shuttle buses covering many areas, significantly reducing parents’ expenses. When designing policies, we truly think about how to improve the quality of life for the little people, those who earn daily wages. We have proven this first in Lamphun.
Mr. Natthapong noted that Lamphun PAO’s budget is 690 million baht per year. In less than one year, if we fully use the budget and truly consider equality, the quality of life for Thai people could improve much more. Imagine if one day we become the government and manage a 3 trillion baht budget—how much better the quality of life would be.
He added that historically, when politicians come to power, their main intent beyond governance is capital withdrawal to fund the next election. The upcoming 8 February election is the best opportunity for us to end this cycle together.
"Many have cried saying they love this party but regret that last time it did not form the government. This time, there will be no Senate votes for prime minister. One thing I want to ask everyone here: you may be discouraged, but you must not lose hope. Because once you lose hope in the election, they have won," Mr. Natthapong said.
At one point, a villager shouted asking if their daughter could get concert tickets. Mr. Natthapong immediately replied, expressing confidence that this AI Prime Minister can definitely make it happen.
