Thanathorn Urges Pattani and Satun Residents to Vote Overwhelmingly for the People’s Party and Embrace Change

Thanathorn campaigned in Pattani and Satun, urging people, “Do not fear change, but fear a present without a future.” He called for the People’s Party to win overwhelmingly as the only party chosen, to transform the traditional political structure.

On 24 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, campaign assistant for the People’s Party, and Romadon Panjor, the party’s party-list MP candidate, visited Pattani to exchange views with local entrepreneurs and campaign for the People’s Party candidates in the province.

In the morning, Thanathorn met with local entrepreneurs in Pattani, including young business representatives, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Council, and the local Fisheries Association, to discuss regional problems and economic conditions. He proposed policies to support small businesses with a total budget of 250 billion baht: 50 billion for small entrepreneurs to provide working capital, 100 billion to enhance medium-sized business capabilities, and another 100 billion as working capital for real estate entrepreneurs.

He also introduced the "Receipt Lottery" policy aimed at stimulating the SME economy, easing their access to funding, and simultaneously improving tax liquidity.

Thanathorn spoke about the party’s mega-project to invest 627 billion baht over 8 years to improve Thai people’s quality of life by transforming problems into industries, creating jobs, and developing technology locally. He invited various sectors in Pattani to collaborate after the election to further develop the province.

In the afternoon, Thanathorn held a rally in the Bue Ting Kampong community in Pattani, where he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from local residents.

During his speech, Thanathorn addressed rumors that if the People’s Party ranks first, it would be unable to form a government. He clarified that this election would no longer involve Senate votes and stated that government and political party factions are targeting the People’s Party because they fear change and demands for what should be normal under a dysfunctional society—such as vote-buying, which is illegal and against religious principles but has become normalized.

Thanathorn added that the three southern border provinces have faced security issues for over 22 years, with more than 600 billion baht spent addressing them. This shows Thailand is not lacking funds to create jobs and livelihoods for its people, including those in border provinces. However, the current political system fosters a patronage network linked to the economy, denying funds to those who reject this system, which is abnormal and discourages political participation and demands for rights.

Therefore, to change the future and prevent the country from remaining in this system, it is essential for the People’s Party alone to win decisively, breaking the old political structure. This is what opponents fear, leading them to slander and defame the People’s Party.

Thanathorn concluded by urging everyone to spread the message: do not fear the impending change, but fear the present without a future, because the future is in the hands of all people working together to build a better society to pass on to future generations. He hopes these abnormalities will end with this generation.

Visiting Satun, Thanathorn urged people not to fear the influence of patronage networks.

Thanathorn then traveled to Satun province to campaign for the People’s Party candidates for the district MP seats.

Thanathorn said Satun is the fifth province he visited in this southern campaign. He believes Satun has great potential but is heavily dominated by patronage networks, causing many people to live in fear and hesitate to express their political views.

He emphasized, “The people are our only resource,” admitting that his side lacks power networks or vast funds to buy votes or support community leaders, but believes that if the people unite, change is possible.

Thanathorn cited the 2023 election, where although many constituency votes were lost, the party-list votes ranked first. He invited people to open their minds and vote for the People’s Party on both ballots to create opportunities for change.

He concluded by saying the remaining two weeks before the election are crucial to turning “fear” into “hope” and “courage.” He called on people to shine light into society, because “only ghosts fear the light.” He stressed that this change is not just for one province but for the whole country. He invited everyone to join two missions: to encourage those close to them to vote for the People’s Party on both ballots for social change, and to support a referendum on drafting a new constitution for a democratic Thailand. He promised that if the People’s Party forms government, it will work honestly, without corruption, to improve everyone’s quality of life.

Satun has two electoral districts; the People’s Party has nominated candidates for both seats as follows:

Bukoree Sanuwong, District 1 (No. 1)

Krit Srisan, District 2 (No. 2)
