“Yotsanan” Seeks to Be Khon Kaens Prime Minister, Emphasizes New Wealth Creation Policy

“Yotsanan” appeals to the people of Mor Khaen city, seeking to be Khon Kaen’s prime minister candidate across all 11 districts. He promotes the city as a creative economic hub, stresses a policy to create new millionaires, and vows to establish a digital government to eliminate all forms of corruption.

On 24 January 2026 at 18:45 at the Sri Muang Thong Ufu Market in Khon Kaen province, Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, and his team visited to campaign alongside Mr. Nanpatchatee Kantawtheeranat, candidate for Khon Kaen MP in district 1, and Mr. Komes Thekthananon, candidate for district 2. The atmosphere was lively, with many citizens attending to listen to the speeches. Upon arrival, Yotsanan greeted the crowd, who presented him with garlands made of shredded pork, Chinese sausage, corn, and a dinosaur doll.

Yotsanan addressed the crowd, saying, “Greetings to all parents and siblings in Khon Kaen. I am here to report myself in Khon Kaen today, where the entire land is turning red. This morning, I went to Roi Et and was accepted as one of their own; in Yasothon and Kalasin, they too accepted me. But here, I ask to be accepted as a son and descendant of Khon Kaen. I declare that the Pheu Thai Party is honored to serve the people of Khon Kaen, with policies closely connected to the citizens. Pheu Thai’s policies are for the people of Khon Kaen. I have had the opportunity to meet and talk with Khon Kaen residents. The 8 February election is not just a voting day but a day of hope for every parent and sibling in Khon Kaen and for me. I, Yotsanan Wongsawat, am ready to be the prime minister for Khon Kaen’s people and to turn the hopes and dreams of all into reality. On 8 February, I ask for Pheu Thai’s support across the country.”

Yotsanan continued, “Our vision is to see Khon Kaen become a global landmark. I want to tell everyone that Khon Kaen must be a smart city, a city of innovation, and a destination where the hopes and dreams of our children can be entrusted. To move the pyramid, we must move its base. We never forget the grassroots because we are the Pheu Thai Party. I always set goals that we must have hope. Thailand must become a high-income country, while many still suffer. If we form the government on 8 February, the first thing we will do is solve debt issues across the system. When food prices rise, everyone feels the pain, but food price increases are unacceptable because our farmers are the source. That is why we plan to guarantee a 30% profit margin on agricultural products. Besides rice, there is also sugarcane and corn. We will strive to support the best prices for all agricultural products and never abandon farmers. We will manage land issues decisively to ensure farmers are protected from floods and droughts.”

Yotsanan also said, “We propose a 70:30 policy, and we speak boldly about this. The first thing we will do is generate income. Khon Kaen is a beautiful city, a creative economy, a city of innovation, and an investment hub that we want the whole world to come to. There is still a considerable informal economy today. Yesterday, we announced a policy that made news nationwide: creating nine millionaires every day. I want to clarify this with everyone and use this platform in Khon Kaen to speak with all citizens. This is the first time Thailand will have an entirely digital government to reduce corruption. We can assist each and every citizen individually. Thailand has only 60 million people, while China and India each have 1.4 billion. Why wouldn’t we care for each person one by one? This is the answer—eliminating all forms of corruption. When farmers, the elderly, community health volunteers, and village defense volunteers—all those who have served the nation—register, we will hold prize draws for each of these four groups. The final group of five winners will be those who keep receipts from their purchases to pull the entire economy into the system. When money flows into the system, we will return power to local governments and put funds into local areas so they can manage themselves.”

Yotsanan added, “Our children must receive quality education, and Khon Kaen will have the best universities. I will take care of our children and people so they don’t need to study abroad. Khon Kaen must be the best place to study. Certainly, I cannot do this alone. This time, coming to Khon Kaen, I ask all 11 districts to vote for Pheu Thai—not just the candidates but the entire party—and get Yotsanan as the prime minister for the people of Khon Kaen.”
