
General Prawit Wongsuwan has become a food critic after retiring from politics, taking veteran friends on a tour to enjoy beef noodles in the Watcharaphon area. He also invited a Palang Pracharath Party MP candidate to recharge before campaigning in the 2026 election season.
25 Jan 2026 GMT+7 General Prawit Wongsuwan, Chairman of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) Advisory Board, After stepping down from his political role, he spent his free time in a new role as a food critic, taking military academy friends from Class 6 to a famous beef noodle restaurant named 'Nai T.' (Watcharaphon) to share a meal and have a friendly conversation.
At the same time, General Prawit invited Pharmacist Noppawan Huaijam, the PPRP candidate for Bangkok’s 12th constituency, along with her campaign team, to join the meal to boost energy and morale before continuing their election campaign. The atmosphere was simple and warm, with restaurant patrons greeting and taking photos with them amicably. During the talk, General Prawit asked about local citizens’ difficulties and advised candidates to stay close to the people, listen carefully to problems, and seriously seek solutions.
Pharmacist Noppawan said that if entrusted by the public, she would prioritize policies for the elderly first, aiming to improve quality of life, promote income-generating occupations, and push for comprehensive access to state welfare.
Before leaving, the restaurant owner and patrons took commemorative photos with General Prawit and inquired about his chances of returning to politics. General Prawit responded cheerfully that he intends to leave political roles behind and become a full-time food critic, inspired by numerous restaurant reviews from various media and his desire to try them himself. General Prawit also gave a fresh food critic review, saying, "It's my first time at Nai T. Watcharaphon. I recommend coming with a group and ordering the hot pot with stewed beef, crispy beef, and meatballs all included." He concluded in true foodie style, "Noodles are best eaten at the shop to be at their finest."
