At 17:00 on 25 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at the Plaza area of the 700th Anniversary Stadium in Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, the Kla Tham party held a major rally and launched candidates for parliamentary constituencies in Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Lamphun, and Lampang. Tens of thousands of citizens attended the speeches, creating a lively atmosphere. Key leaders including Professor Dr. Narumon Pinyo Sinwattana, party leader; Mr. Thanakrit Jitareerat, party spokesperson; and Ms. Pawina Hongsakul, party advisor, took turns speaking about Kla Tham's policies.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat Prompao, party advisor and prime ministerial candidate, took the stage holding the green flag at center stage, appealing for votes from the people of Chiang Mai with the slogan “Do more than talk,” pledging to be the crazy one who dares to act.
Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat Prompao told reporters that from campaigning nationwide, the Kla Tham party has received warm and overwhelming support from the public. Wherever rallies are held, tens of thousands of citizens show great interest and attend in large numbers. Northern people seeking political change have increasingly supported Kla Tham, especially in Chiang Mai. Observing the 2023 election, various parties won seats in the area. As a new party with experience, Kla Tham offers itself as an option for Chiang Mai voters in the 2026 election.
“Seeing tens of thousands of supporters coming to listen, elders bringing garlands and flowers to show support, I am confident that Kla Tham will plant the green flag in Chiang Mai and many areas across the North for sure,” Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat said.
Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat also believes that key policies to elevate the northern people must focus on comprehensive agricultural development. Most northern residents are farmers who deserve proper care.
