Yotsanan Campaigns for Pheu Thai in Three Northeastern Provinces Natthawut Urges Khon Kaen Voters to Punish Defecting MPs

Yotsanan campaigns for Pheu Thai in three Northeastern provinces, aiming to sweep all districts decisively to secure a parliamentary majority and political stability. Natthawut urges Khon Kaen voters to mark both Pheu Thai ballots and to discipline MPs who left the party by voting accordingly.

At 12:30 p.m. on 25 Jan 2026, at the Kaeng Khro District Office in Chaiyaphum Province. Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai's prime ministerial candidate and party leader, visited the area to campaign alongside Mr. Jomjakphop Watcharajindawat, Pheu Thai candidate for Chaiyaphum Constituency 7. The atmosphere was lively, with many supporters attending. As he approached the stage, locals presented him with marigold garlands and roses; some tied traditional loincloths around their waists, while others gave him local specialties such as fermented pork sausages to wear, hugged him, and took close-up photos.

Mr. Yotsanan said this is important: he and Mr. Jomjakphop must both work hard. He urged voters to choose Pheu Thai decisively tomorrow, not with excitement but with certainty, to bring good policies to Chaiyaphum and improve people's quality of life. On 8 February, he will lead and Pheu Thai is ready to turn the dreams of the people into reality. He asked voters to make him their prime minister.

He emphasized improving everyone's quality of life starts with systemic debt relief. Since the Thai Rak Thai Party era through to Pheu Thai, the party has been financially capable and plans to reduce state power by returning authority to local communities—an important goal. Regarding tourism and support for local OTOP products like textiles and silk, these quality goods should be marketed abroad to bring income to locals. Thailand’s tourism must revive. The party also has a project offering loans for overseas work and opening shops internationally, legally promoting Thai products worldwide. Only an experienced party like Pheu Thai can achieve this. To raise Chaiyaphum’s value, science and technology must be applied, which he will personally handle, while locals focus on earning income.

“We stand here without conflict because this election is crucial for Thailand. The country cannot afford further division. I believe all Chaiyaphum candidates are in the hearts of the people. Chaiyaphum must win all seven districts.”

He then proceeded to Maha Sarakham, appealing to win all six districts and secure a parliamentary majority.

At 3:55 p.m. at Nongjik Subdistrict Sports Ground, Borabue District, Maha Sarakham, Mr. Yotsanan and team campaigned for Mr. Sanphanyu Siripai, Pheu Thai candidate for Maha Sarakham Constituency 4. Five other candidates for constituencies 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 joined the stage. The crowd filled the area despite the hot weather, warmly embracing, taking selfies, and presenting marigold and bitter gourd garlands to Mr. Yotsanan.

Mr. Yotsanan greeted the people of Maha Sarakham, announcing that the entire province is red today. He requested support for all six districts, emphasizing that political stability in parliament would enable the delivery of policies benefiting the people. He recalled past challenges when support was not decisive, limiting achievements. Maha Sarakham has long supported Pheu Thai since the Thai Rak Thai era. He expressed respect and asked to be considered a local, hoping to stay and serve for a long time.

“The most important thing is the quality of life for Maha Sarakham people. Despite many challenges, unity is key. On 8 February, it will be a day of hope for everyone, and I will lead the way to turn dreams into reality.”

He reiterated Pheu Thai’s policies, including a 30% guaranteed profit and debt relief for farmers within three years. Those over 60 years old will have 100,000 baht of bad debt written off; loans up to 200,000 baht require only 10% repayment to clear debts. This is the start of improving quality of life by reducing debt. Economic stimulus with a 70:30 policy and ensuring farmers make profits were highlighted. He wore a bitter gourd garland, emphasizing that local products should reach global markets, empowered by science and technology.

“Political stability is vital. Please give a chance to our six candidates. Without them, we cannot work effectively. We owe our progress to the people of Maha Sarakham. Please support Pheu Thai across the province.”

Natthawut rallies voters in Phon District, Khon Kaen, urging them to punish defecting MPs.

At 5:15 p.m., Mr. Yotsanan visited Amtawittaya School in Nong Song Hong District, Khon Kaen, campaigning for Mr. Wannivat Sombun, Pheu Thai candidate for Khon Kaen Constituency 10. The crowd was full and lively. Upon arrival, Mr. Yotsanan greeted supporters, who hugged him, took selfies, and offered marigold and pork jerky garlands.

He then went to the municipal dome in Phon District, Khon Kaen, to campaign for Mr. Natthaphon Klungreungthong, Pheu Thai candidate for Constituency 9. This area was formerly represented by Ms. Saratsanan Arnanaporn, aka Khaofang, a former Pheu Thai MP who switched to the Bhumjaithai Party in this election.

Mr. Natthawut Saiyakeua, Pheu Thai campaign assistant, spoke, recalling that three years ago turnout was smaller. The former MP for this district has now changed. He asked locals where the old MP went, and upon their reply, he understood that the old MP had left without needing formal farewells, urging voters to mark both Pheu Thai ballots on 8 February.

He noted that the candidate appears to be a first-time MP likely to become a minister within two terms. Pheu Thai came not only to campaign but also to console locals who felt hurt and betrayed by MPs who left. The party has not abandoned Phon and remains present.

Then, Mr. Natthawut told Mr. Natthaphon, “Sit down, hold your seat. If you stand up, someone else might take it and cause damage.” He continued, saying some expected chaos when Pheu Thai arrived, but that is not their style. They focus on policies and resolving national issues.

He shared that the former MP insisted he would not leave, and Pheu Thai leader Mr. Chulaphan Amornwiwat, also a prime ministerial candidate, believed him. However, in the end, the MP did leave, showing that political decisions are personal and voters have the power to punish politicians.

He described the MP's political shifts: from Pheu Thai to Thai Sang Thai, back to Pheu Thai, then to Bhumjaithai. Though initially elusive, the truth surfaced. The MP never admitted leaving, complicating candidate nominations. Pheu Thai now has a candidate, revealing who is loyal. He urged voters to reject the defecting MP and elect Pheu Thai instead.

Mr. Natthawut then addressed Pheu Thai’s campaign policies, such as guaranteeing a 30% profit for agricultural products. He noted that while prices for sticky and regular rice have risen, only Khaofang’s price remains low.
