Reminder of Ballot Colors for the 2026 Election Ahead of Early Voting on 1 Feb and Main Election on 8 Feb

Emphasizing the ballot colors for the 2026 election before entering the polling booths for early voting on 1 February and the main election on 8 February. There are three colors: green, pink, and yellow, representing the constituency MP ballot, party-list MP ballot, and referendum ballot respectively.


On 25 January 2026, only one week remains until early voting day, Sunday, 1 February 2026. And two weeks until the nationwide main election day, Sunday, 8 February 2026. The Election Commission (EC) has set the voting hours from 08:00 to 17:00. On early voting day, registered voters may cast their ballots at their pre-registered early voting locations, including out-of-district polling stations. However, there will be no referendum voting on that day. Those wishing to vote in the referendum must do so on 8 February only.

Receive 3 ballots to vote for MP, party, and referendum

Regarding the ballots, for early voting, after identification, voters will receive two ballots: one for the constituency Member of Parliament (MP) and one for the party-list MP (party vote). Meanwhile, on the nationwide main election day, 8 February, voters will receive three ballots after two rounds of identification. The first round is to receive the constituency MP and party-list MP ballots. After casting those ballots, voters must identify themselves again to receive the referendum ballot, then proceed to the booth to mark either “approve” or “disapprove” in response to the question, “Do you approve the adoption of a new constitution?”

For those who voted early on 1 February and wish to vote in the referendum, they may do so on 8 February. Special channels will be provided exclusively for referendum voters, who can vote at their assigned polling stations or at the out-of-district stations where they registered.

  • Green: constituency MP ballot
  • Pink: party-list MP ballot (political party)
  • Yellow: referendum ballot

However, if there is a necessity preventing one from voting, notification must be submitted within 7 days before the election day or within 7 days after the election day ( notify inability to vote for MPs ) and in cases where one cannot participate in the referendum voting, notification can be submitted after the voter list is announced until before the referendum day or within 7 days after the referendum day ( notify inability to vote in the referendum )
