Anutin Flies to Visit Residents of Ta Phraya After Border Situation Calms

The Prime Minister, wearing a Territorial Defense Volunteer (Or Sor) uniform, flew urgently to Sa Kaeo to comfort residents along the Thai-Cambodian border and boost the morale of village security volunteers after the conflict subsided and the battlefield quieted down.

On 26 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, appeared in a strong look wearing the Territorial Defense Volunteer (Or Sor) uniform with the rank of Senior Major. He led a team boarding a helicopter from the 2nd Cavalry Division, King's Guard, heading to Sa Kaeo province for an urgent mission. The first stop was Ta Phraya district, where he met local residents to encourage and listen closely to their difficulties following the recent fighting along the Thai-Cambodian border.

Afterward, the Prime Minister proceeded to the Ta Phraya Special Task Force Command to hear operational plans and security updates in the area. He then created a stir by riding in an armored vehicle to Kanchanaphisek Park, Rama IX, to visit and encourage the Village Security Volunteers (Chor Bor Bor), who serve as the frontline for maintaining peace along the border. He emphasized that the government is ready to support welfare and work equipment to help border residents return to normal life and regain confidence in their safety.
