
Voter identification for the 2026 election and constitutional referendum allows presenting the ID card via the ThaiD app, driver's license via the Department of Land Transport’s DLT app, or disability card through the PWD app.
On 26 January 2026, following the Election Commission’s announcement of early voting on Sunday, 1 February 2026, and the general election of members of parliament along with the constitutional referendum on Sunday, 8 February 2026, polling stations will be open from 08:00 to 17:00 nationwide.
To verify eligibility for the MP election and referendum voting rights, individuals can check the voter list via the household notification letter, the Election Commission’s website, the Smart Vote application, the Ministry of Interior’s registration administration website, or in person at district offices or local administrative offices.
For voter identification in the 2026 election, besides the original ID card, other cards and documents with a photo and personal ID number can be presented at polling stations for voting rights verification, as follows:
However, if voters have valid reasons preventing them from voting, they must notify within 7 days before the election or within 7 days after the election ( Notification of inability to vote in the MP election ) and if unable to participate in the referendum due to valid reasons, notification can be made from the announcement of the voter list until before the referendum day or within 7 days after voting ( Notification of inability to participate in the referendum )
