The Election Commission (EC) has released statistics on overseas voting and referendum participation, showing that Australia has the highest number of registered Thai voters, followed by the United States and Japan. Meanwhile, 16 countries each have just one registered overseas referendum voter.
On 26 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the Election Commission Office announced that it has dispatched parliamentary election ballots to 139,810 registered overseas voters in 135 countries, and referendum ballots to 95,975 registered overseas referendum voters in 122 countries. Although ballots to some remote countries or cities may take longer to deliver, they are expected to reach voters within the designated timeframe. The return of parliamentary ballots to Thailand is being coordinated by embassies and consulates, which have confirmed they will ensure all ballots are sent back for complete vote counting.

1. Commonwealth of Australia: 26,463 registered for parliamentary elections and 19,802 for the referendum.
