"Natthapong" dismisses the label "orange with black stain," counters "Thammanat" saying there is orange but no gray; insists that if leading government formation, ministers must be clean.
On 27 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, the prime ministerial candidate of the People’s Party (PPP), spoke on a hot issue after the Kla Tham party sharply criticized them as the "orange with black stain" party and referenced the phrase "Choose T., get Th." He declined to respond directly to these accusations but said he would let their achievements be the proof. He firmly stated that if they come to power, the public will see how the party handles individuals with gray records, including issues related to human trafficking and drug trafficking, in order to restore the trust given by the people.
Regarding Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao’s insinuation that parties opposing gray areas end up as the opposition, Natthapong promptly replied, "No gray areas—if we encounter gray, we deal with it." If the People’s Party wins the election and leads the government formation, they will set the conditions for appointing ministers themselves. They will not accept anyone with a gray record into the cabinet under any circumstances, and if anyone commits wrongdoing or corruption, they will be immediately removed. He said the public should judge at the ballot box who is genuine.
