On 27 January 2026, General Prawit Wongsuwan, Chairman of the Palang Pracharath Party Advisory Board, took a break from food tasting duties to change the scene, donning the role of an impromptu chef. Rising early, he entered the kitchen to showcase his skill in cooking his special Hainanese chicken rice with generous ingredients.
During the cooking session, Uncle Pom was especially cheerful, sharing casual tips about the cooking process. He said the key to delicious Hainanese chicken rice lies in the dipping sauce, which must be freshly prepared with full, generous amounts of ginger, chili, garlic, and fermented soybean paste to achieve a balanced and pleasing flavor.
General Prawit added that cooking is like working; one must manage time and even the smallest details, such as the dipping sauce, which he described as the heart of the dish. If done with care and systematically, the results will be good.
