On 27 Jan 2026 at 4:30 p.m. at Pibunmangsahan Municipal Market in Ubon Ratchathani, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with Suphajee Suthamphan, Minister of Commerce and campaign assistant for Bhumjaithai, visited to support Nan Boonthida Somchai, candidate for MP of Ubon Ratchathani's 8th district. Former multiple-term Ubon MP Issara Somchai, Nan's father, welcomed the group. Many locals requested selfies, handshakes, and hugs with Anutin. At one point, a resident told Anutin to visit often if he becomes Prime Minister again. Anutin signed hats for supporters before meeting vendors and residents at the market. Many people, including children, eagerly asked to take photos with Suphajee, calling her a favorite. Anutin jokingly remarked to Suphajee, "You're very famous."
