Bangkok Summarizes Early Voting Registrations for 1 Feb, Totaling 840,000 Bang Kapi District Highest

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has summarized early voting registrations both within and outside districts for Sunday, 1 February, totaling over 840,000 people. Bang Kapi District at the Tawanna Bang Kapi project area has the highest number of registrants. Authorities emphasized full readiness to provide comprehensive facilitation.


On 28 January 2026, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration reported the total number of people registered for early voting in both cases. Early voting outside their registered electoral district. . Early voting within their registered electoral district. More than 840,000 people have registered for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Sunday, 1 February 2026. Preparations have been made regarding venues, area management systems, and officials to assist at central voting stations across all 50 districts to ensure a smooth, lawful process and full convenience for voters.

Mr. Narong Ruangsri, Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, revealed that according to early voting registration data, a large number of people have registered for early voting outside their electoral district, totaling 844,672 individuals. (Data on registrations through the Registration Administration System from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026)

The central early voting locations in Bangkok with the highest number of registrants are as follows:

  • Bang Kapi District at the Tawanna Bang Kapi project (Tawanna 2) with 58,683 people.
  • Chatuchak District at Chandrakasem Rajabhat University with 51,719 people.
  • Lat Krabang District at the Lat Krabang District Office parking lot (temporary) with 38,548 people.
  • Huai Khwang District at the Huai Khwang District Office building and tent with 32,419 people.
  • Din Daeng District at the Sports Building West 1–2, Thai-Japanese Youth Center, with 28,940 people.

Additionally, there are eight other central early voting locations outside electoral districts with more than 20,000 registrants each: Bang Sue, Bang Khun Thian, Laksi, Bang Na, Wang Thonglang, Suan Luang, Pathum Wan, and Ratchathewi Districts. The central early voting location with the fewest registrants is Samphanthawong District with 2,305 people.

For early voting within electoral districts, there are 2,512 registrants in total. The central voting locations with the highest registrations are Don Mueang and Prawet Districts with 154 people each, followed by Suan Luang District with 150 people and Bang Khun Thian District with 128 people.

The Permanent Secretary added that Bangkok has prepared an information system to support early voting and facilitate voters. Citizens can check central voting locations, map coordinates, travel options, public transport, parking, and shuttle services (if available) via the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration website under the heading " Early Voting Locations for House of Representatives Election, Bangkok ".

Moreover, Bangkok has opened special ID card services to support voting at all 50 district offices, available on 1, 7, and 8 February 2026 from 08:00 to 17:00.

It is emphasized that citizens unable to vote must notify their reason separately for the House election and referendum cases. Notifications can be submitted via the Smart Vote app, the Registration Administration website, or any local registration office to avoid losing political rights as prescribed by law.

Bangkok invites registered voters to exercise their right through early voting on Sunday, 1 February 2026, from 08:00 to 17:00 at their registered central voting location, to participate honestly, transparently, and in accordance with democratic principles.
