Reminder: Channels for "Notification of Absence from Voting in the 2026 Election - Notification of Absence from Referendum Voting" are available via application, website, and postal service. The final day to notify is 15 February 2026 GMT+7.


On 28 January 2026 GMT+7, following the Election Commission's announcement, the general election for members of the House of Representatives is scheduled for Sunday, 8 February 2026 GMT+7, from 08:00 to 17:00. On that day, including the referendum voting, voters will decide whether to “approve” or “disapprove” the constitutional amendments. Meanwhile, the advance voting day is set for Sunday, 1 February 2026 GMT+7, from 08:00 to 17:00. Registered advance voters must cast their ballots on that day, but there will be no advance referendum voting.

Notification of Absence from Voting in the 2026 Election

For voters who have valid reasons preventing them from voting, the law allows notification during two periods as follows:

  • Seven days before the election (1–7 February 2026 GMT+7)
  • Seven days after the election (9–15 February 2026 GMT+7)

Notification of Absence from Referendum Voting

Regarding the referendum, if eligible voters cannot vote, they should notify their valid reasons within the following timeframes:

  • From the announcement of the voter list until before voting day (14 January – 7 February 2026 GMT+7)
  • Or within seven days after voting (9–15 February 2026 GMT+7)
