Prime Minister Anutin praises the Ministry of Interior Housewives as a "strong backbone" driving five main policies in 2026 to elevate the quality of life for the people of Thailand.
On 29 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, presided over the opening of the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the Ministry of Interior Housewives Association at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok. The event was attended by over 150 senior executives, department directors, and chairpersons of the Ministry of Interior Housewives nationwide. The Prime Minister commended the association's role as a “strong and warm backbone” and described it as the “winds beneath the wings” that help secure the stability of Ministry of Interior families. He emphasized their role in "relieving suffering with understanding and fostering happiness with heart" through the provincial housewives clubs that closely reach the people, supporting the ministry’s mission to be more complete and efficient.
Mrs. Jinnaratch Sampantharat, President of the Ministry of Interior Housewives Association, revealed the five key policies for 2026 aimed at sustainable well-being: caring for the environment by promoting waste separation, reducing plastic and foam use, and campaigning for wet waste bins to reduce global warming; promoting community economy and food security; expanding the “Fun to Wear Thai Fabric” and OTOP projects; alleviating hardship for the underprivileged by improving maternal and child health and hygiene; supporting the Ruamjit Nommklao Foundation to develop mental well-being; backing the "Thai Hearts United" project to uphold royal virtues nationwide; and building awareness and relationships through online media publicity and regional traveling activities across four parts of the country.
