Anutin visited Lom Sak, where locals flocked to thank him for decisively handling the Cambodia issue. An elderly woman was delighted that he was the first prime minister to come.
On 29 Jan 2026, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, visited Lom Sak district, Phetchabun province, to support election candidates amid a lively atmosphere. His first stop was at a famous noodle shop, where he met junior classmates from their overseas studies before walking to meet the public.
A key highlight was a group of elderly women who came to thank him for “cracking down on the Cambodians,” urging that there be no third occurrence, prompting him to exclaim “Oh wow.” They showed strong patriotic sentiment despite being hundreds of kilometers from the border. Meanwhile, a local elderly woman expressed her admiration that he is the first prime minister to set foot in Lom Sak.
There was also a touching moment when Anutin and “Prime Minister Doi” held and kissed an elderly woman’s hand to encourage her. A kidney patient handed him a small letter thanking him for the free dialysis policy from his tenure as Minister of Public Health, which improved access to treatment.
Gen Z students crowded around expressing their fondness for the 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' policy, saying it even caused them to gain weight. Anutin responded good-naturedly, “You’ll get fatter again,” then ended with a lively chicken carving demonstration at a famous chicken rice shop and playfully asked for votes from the whole province to continue his policies.
