Supachai Gathers Startups, Emphasizes Teaching to Fish Policy, Asserts Thailand Need Not Choose Sides in New Global Trade Era

"Supachai" gathers startups, promotes the "teaching to fish" policy, emphasizing that in the new era of global trade, Thailand does not need to take sides.

On 29 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Supachai Suthammanoon, Bhumjaithai Party campaign assistant, led the party’s Bangkok leaders and commanders to visit the S-Oasis building to meet office workers before holding a special forum with small entrepreneurs and startups at the Hey Beanstro café to discuss strategies for driving Thailand's economy amid the volatile new global order.

Ms. Supachai emphasized a global trade strategy, noting that Thailand relies on exports to the U.S. for up to 10% of GDP. Facing a 19% tariff barrier, the Thai government must quickly seek new markets and integrate into global supply chains. She clearly stated, “Thailand does not need to choose sides but must be able to engage with everyone” to establish a stable trade position. Meanwhile, the SME support policy aims to increase their income share to 40% of GDP within four years through digital skill development and better access to financing.

Ms. Supachai also highlighted the Bhumjaithai Party’s strengths, saying its policies focus on precision and feasibility within the public debt ceiling limits. She compared the party’s approach to "teaching to fish" for sustainability rather than merely giving fish, similar to the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" program designed to empower people to sustain themselves.

Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa contributed remarks on the demographic structural crisis requiring integrated solutions across all sectors. The session concluded with Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi inviting the public to attend a major speech at Lumphini Park on 30 Jan to hear a detailed roadmap for national recovery.
