At 18:00 on 29 January 2026 GMT+7, Jatuporn Buruspat, prime ministerial candidate and leader of the New Opportunity Party, held a campaign speech at Romklao 2 Health Park in eastern Bangkok, promoting policies covering all dimensions, including welfare state, transportation issues, economy, disaster and environmental problems, management of PM2.5 dust, flood and drought problems, as well as specific issues affecting the Muslim community.
At the same time, Jatuporn clearly stated his position on the hot topic of managing the Social Security Office, which is under close public scrutiny. He affirmed that any restructuring or approach must prioritize the benefits of the insured, not increase burdens on working citizens. Given that the social security system involves tens of millions of insured people nationwide, it is essential to have a management system that is transparent, accountable, and independent from centralized bureaucracy, so that social security truly meets the needs of workers.
“If there is to be any increase in contribution payments or restructuring, it must be for the benefit of the insured, not to add burdens borne solely by the public. The New Opportunity Party is ready to oversee and push for social security to be a true life guarantee for the people, from management structure, investment of the social security fund, to the rights and benefits of the insured, with public participation and accountability at every step. New Opportunity is the only political party that is fully prepared and sincere about reforming the social security system.”
However, the leader of the New Opportunity Party is confident that the people's voice is the opportunity to change the country. He invited citizens to move beyond old-style politics and choose politics centered on public benefit, urging support for New Opportunity Party candidates and the party, number 44, to jointly build a fair, transparent, and sustainable welfare system for all Thais.
