Lisa Phakamon sharply criticized Phiphat, telling Southern voters to watch closely the cowardly, desperate strategy of using the nation as a hostage. She urged stopping the practice of making patriotism a condition for votes and strongly condemned those "hanger-ons and leechers" who claim to love the country but instead ruin it.
On 30 January 2026, Ms. Phakamon Noon Anan, deputy spokesperson and party-list candidate for the Prachachon Party, released a reaction clip responding to news about Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, who told the public to choose between patriotic and non-patriotic parties.
Ms. Phakamon pouted and strongly opposed, saying, "Southern people, watch carefully. Those who truly love the nation do not use it as a hostage. They do not impose conditions or demands on others to express such loyalty. This strategy is that of cowards trapped with no way out, who cannot think of any merits or important agendas to offer the public and country to earn votes. Having run out of ideas, they resort to demanding people vote for patriotic parties."
She added, "What kind of patriotism points fingers and accuses others of being unpatriotic? What kind of patriotism allows you to govern the country and leave the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in ruin? What kind of patriotism proposes large projects that destroy the lifestyle and resources of Southern people in Ranong and Chumphon? What kind of patriotism never presents any significant agenda to assure the public but still demands people vote for the patriotic party?"
Ms. Phakamon further stated, "The most frightening people in this country who claim to love the nation are the 'hanger-ons and leechers,' so obsessed with patriotism that they drool, yet use the country as a hostage. That era is over. Such strategies no longer work in today's era."
"Declaring patriotism is extremely outdated and out of touch. You clearly don’t keep up with what society is discussing today, what it needs, or what kind of representatives and government parties it wants to see. True patriotism is presenting important agendas for this country and giving the public confidence that if you hold power, you will deliver on those promises. That is the true representation of love for the nation and its people. Ultimately, the people will decide whom they choose."
