Natthapong Ruangpanyawut led the launch of the People’s Party’s final campaign caravan with eight routes covering all 77 provinces nationwide. He vowed not to be complacent despite leading in the polls, urging the public to mark both ballots. Dividing support as in 2023 is insufficient; without full backing, change cannot happen.
On 30 Jan 2026 at 07:30 at Ginza Plaza, Rangsit District, Pathum Thani Province, Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People’s Party, along with party leaders such as Parit Watcharasin, party-list candidate, Nattha Boonchaiinsawat, party-list candidate, and Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, former Future Forward Party leader and campaign assistant, jointly launched the “Saltwater Stream” caravan route. In the evening, Natthapong is scheduled to deliver a major speech at the football field of Kratu District Office, Phuket Province.
Natthapong told reporters that in past elections, winning a constituency seat typically required about 30,000 to 40,000 votes per seat, while party-list seats might need 300,000 to 400,000 votes per seat. This means constituency MPs carry about ten times the weight of party-list MPs. Therefore, those who support the former Move Forward Party’s policies but split their party-list vote by marking only one ballot may not be enough to form a people’s government. Hence, the party organized eight caravan routes across all 77 provinces to tell voters that if they agree with the People’s Party, they must mark both ballots; otherwise, change won’t be possible.
“We look at it positively, but every second before entering the booth, we remain cautious. Although polls show us leading, I believe every vote counts in every district. Our current challenge is to secure as many MPs as possible. Every seat in parliament strengthens the stability needed to form a government,” said the People’s Party leader.
Meanwhile, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, former Future Forward Party leader and campaign assistant for the People’s Party, said before departure on the caravan truck that the “Saltwater Stream” route will campaign through 47 districts in the Eastern region. The party aims to retain all current districts and gain as many new ones as possible.
The People’s Party’s eight caravan routes will travel to every province, departing simultaneously at 08:00 on 30 Jan, divided as follows:
Northern Left Route: "Phloeng Phra Nang" starting in Phichit and ending in Chiang Mai.
Northern Right Route: "Klin Kasalong" starting in Phetchabun and ending in Chiang Mai.
Northeastern Mekong Riverside Route: "Nai Hoi Thamin" starting in Kalasin and ending in Khon Kaen.
Southern Northeastern Route: "Khom Fak" starting in Chaiyaphum and ending in Khon Kaen.
Central Route: "Mon Rak Luk Thung" starting in Uthai Thani and ending in Nonthaburi.
Eastern Route: "Saltwater Stream" starting in Pathum Thani and ending in Samut Prakan.
Upper Southern Route: "Fon Tai" starting in Phetchaburi and ending in Songkhla.
Lower Southern Route: "Bin Lad Ng" starting in Phuket and ending in Songkhla.
All vehicles are equipped with GPS so the public can track each caravan route in real time starting the morning of 30 Jan. They also welcome all encouragements, including garlands, and local fruits such as Sai Nam Phueng oranges, pomelos, makrut limes, buffalo oranges, pork oranges, fermented fish, and orange juice. The vehicles have ample cargo space to carry these items.
