On 30 January 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Airin Panrit, Deputy Government Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, stated that the government emphasizes creating overseas employment opportunities to increase income, improve quality of life, and generate new prospects for Thai workers. The Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, is accepting applications for jobs with the Malaysian company VYV Wellness Retreat Sdn Bhd, which operates a massage business. They are recruiting 18 traditional Thai massage therapists for 2-year contracts. Interested applicants can submit applications at toea.doe.go.th 24 hours a day until 19 February 2026 GMT+7, including public holidays.
Ms. Airin explained that the employer offers two wage options: a fixed monthly salary of 3,300 Malaysian ringgit (approximately 25,022 baht, subject to exchange rates), or commission based on working hours—22 ringgit per hour for the first 160 hours, and 25 ringgit per hour thereafter. Working hours are 7.5 hours per day, six days per week. The employer will provide free accommodation, pay round-trip airfare upon completion of the contract, and provide medical expense coverage and health insurance as mandated by the Malaysian government.
The employer’s required qualifications include being female, aged 21-44, possessing a certificate for at least 150 hours of training in foot massage or traditional Thai massage, being in good health with a medical check-up, and demonstrating good manners and attitude.
