Churin tours to meet the Central Region Farmer Rehabilitation Fund network, affirming the continuation of the agricultural product price insurance policy alongside debt relief through the Farmer Rehabilitation Fund. The network chairman pledges 100% support for the Democrat Party.
On 30 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Churin Laksanawisit, a party-list MP candidate and former Democrat Party leader, accompanied by Ms. Ratchadaporn Kaewsanit, party-list candidate, Mr. Anukul Praipaisan, Kanchanaburi MP candidate for constituency 1, Mr. Sukwee Sangpao for constituency 2, and prospective Major Pongpetch Preedivisut for constituency 4, visited farmer networks from several central provinces at Wat Huai Yang, Don Selaep Subdistrict, Huai Krachao District, Kanchanaburi Province. The farmer groups supported the party's agricultural income insurance policy as it benefits grassroots farmers when crop prices fall, with direct payments to farmers’ accounts and no corruption, a program previously successfully implemented by the Democrat Party. Currently, prices have dropped to 6-7,000 baht per cart for unhusked rice and just over 2 baht per kilogram for cassava.
Mr. Churin addressed the network members, stating, "The Democrat Party, number 27, continues to uphold the agricultural income insurance policy—a program proven effective and managed by capable people. The party also prioritizes resolving farmers’ debt issues through the Farmer Rehabilitation and Development Fund (FRDF), which uses fund money to purchase and transfer debts from financial institutions to the fund, without seizing farmland or charging interest. This fund began under Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai in 1999, was continued by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva in 2009, and during my time as Deputy Prime Minister and fund chairman from 2019 to 2023, we allocated over 3 billion baht to reduce debts by half and provided an additional 15 billion baht for restructuring debts with four state banks. Therefore, if the Democrat Party returns to government, we will continue this work. I ask the Central Region farmer networks to communicate this to members nationwide and request votes for Democrat Party number 27. I thank the network in advance for their commitment to support the Democrat Party in the 8 February election."
Then, Mr. Yoswat Chaiwatnasirikul, national network chairman, spoke to the members, "I urge network members from all provinces to support those genuinely working to solve farmers’ problems by coordinating and encouraging votes for number 27. We believe the Democrat Party will become the government and continue addressing Thai farmers’ issues. From visiting networks in every province, everyone is ready to support the Democrat Party 100%."
