The Kao Isara Party mobilized over 100 tuk-tuks for campaigning, appealing for just "half the heart" votes on the pink ballot. They declared their stance to convert public transport entirely to EVs to combat PM 2.5 pollution and restore clean breathing air for the people, and the tags are ["Kao Isara Party", "tuk-tuk campaign", "electric vehicles", "PM 2.5 pollution", "public transport", "clean air"]
On 30 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Kachaporn Veroj, known as Madam Yok, party leader and Kao Isara Party’s prime minister candidate, spoke about a symbolic event under the "Green Thailand with EV Transport" campaign. More than 100 tuk-tuks gathered at Benjakitti Forest Park Museum to promote a policy for full transition of public passenger vehicles to electric engines. This is a key measure for sustainable air pollution control, focusing on eliminating the root cause of PM 2.5 dust and reducing urban noise pollution to restore clean air and improve quality of life. The event also aimed to preserve the charm and identity of Thai tuk-tuks as clean energy vehicles. Previously, a similar EV public transport campaign was held in Chiang Mai.
Ms. Kachaporn emphasized the core of this event as creating a new perception through a convoy of 100 tuk-tuks amid the urban forest at sunset. This represents a sustainable solution to pollution, where "clean air" means a right, not a request, that the state must provide. She views PM 2.5 as a silent threat turning into a societal cancer. Therefore, she is committed to converting all public vehicles fully to electric (EV), especially tuk-tuks, a national symbol that must be preserved without harming Thai lungs. Buses must also use clean energy so everyone can finally breathe fully.
Ms. Kachaporn also shared the Kao Isara Party’s economic vision, which focuses not on handouts but on reducing costs such as fuel, electricity, and household expenses, while generating sustainable national income. She also emphasized adapting Thai education to the modern world. "We must stop confining children in classrooms studying subjects they dislike. I want to see a short but effective education system where children immediately choose their strengths. Those fond of sports, music, or languages should pursue those paths to become skilled professionals happy with their careers, rather than wasting life learning things that don't suit them," she said.
Ms. Kachaporn added that the Kao Isara Party also commits to urgently following up on overdue compensation payments to citizens, including COVID insurance, disaster relief for floods and earthquakes, and allowances for border soldiers, so affected people can sustain their livelihoods after severe hardships.
She also addressed voters looking for a new option. "I ask for just half the heart," on the pink ballot, vote for Kao Isara Party, number 22. Please give our small party a chance to have a voice in parliament. I ask to prove myself after 28 years of hard work behind the scenes. Today, I seek the opportunity to work in parliament on behalf of Thai people, so the voices of rescuers and volunteers are loud enough to improve Thai lives.
