Srisuwan Files Complaint with NACC to Investigate Kanchanaburi MP Candidate for Admitting House in Reserved Forest Area

"Srisuwan" has filed a complaint with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate a Kanchanaburi MP candidate who inadvertently admitted on stage to owning a house located within a reserved forest area, highlighting a serious ethical violation.

On 30 Jan 2026, Mr. Srisuwan Janya, leader of the Rak Chart Rak Phaendin organization, submitted a complaint to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) requesting an investigation and determination of wrongdoing against a former Kanchanaburi MP for District 5 and a major party’s MP candidate. This followed the appearance of a video clip taken during a campaign event at Khao Jod Subdistrict, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province, on 29 Jan, where the candidate openly admitted before the crowd, “The MP’s house is also in the reserved forest area.”

Mr. Srisuwan stated that this admission confirms the candidate’s possession and utilization of state land, which constitutes a conflict between personal interest and the public good, and is a severe breach of ethical standards, especially given the candidate’s former position as a Member of Parliament, who should serve as an example by complying with forest and natural resource laws.

Furthermore, Mr. Srisuwan submitted the video evidence posted by the candidate on their personal Facebook page for the NACC to review according to the ethical standards set by the Constitutional Court judges and independent agencies in 2018. If wrongdoing is found, the matter will be forwarded to the Supreme Court for punishment and political disqualification.
