The Election Commission has submitted a letter to the Bank of Thailand requesting details on irregular money transfers and withdrawals during the election period. It is expected that the Bank will provide the details to the Commission within today.
On 30 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the Election Commission Office announced that the Commission had assigned Mr. Kanchit Charoen-in, Deputy Secretary-General of the Election Commission, to submit a letter to the Bank of Thailand requesting details of any irregular money transfers or withdrawals during the period of organizing the general election. Today, Mr. Kanchit submitted the letter requesting such details, and representatives from the Bank of Thailand have officially received it. The Bank will provide the requested details to the Election Commission as soon as possible at the Election Commission Office.
However, it has been reported that representatives from the Bank of Thailand will deliver the information to Mr. Sa-ngoen Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, at the Commission's office this evening.
