Suchatvee campaigns to support Thai Move Forward Party's Rayong MP candidates, stressing that it's time to reform social security with professional management, adjust investment plans for an aging society, and promote a transparent digital system. He highlights the issue of irregular 250 million baht cash withdrawals and urges the Election Commission to seriously investigate vote-buying, opposing old-style politics systems.
At 4:00 p.m. on 30 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at Rayong Wittayakhom School in Rayong Province, Mr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, or Dr. Ae, party leader and Thai Move Forward Party's prime ministerial candidate, spoke after campaigning for the party's Rayong MP candidates about the Social Security Office under the Ministry of Labour raising the contribution rate to 875 baht, which society views as expensive compared to services provided to insured persons. He said the party has a clear stance that it is time to reform social security.
Position one: It's time for professionals, because with such a large fund, we must be confident that truly professional people manage it. Otherwise, work and returns may not ensure proper care for insured persons until retirement. Professionals must operate transparently and openly to the public.
Position two: The social security investment plan must consider demographic changes—fewer births but more elderly. It must be certain that strategic investments will ensure future funds to support insured persons in retirement.
Position three: Technology is a key issue because citizens often complain about the online social security system. It's time to address this. Thai Move Forward Party has professionals who support digital government initiatives and aims to develop a digital-era social security system that allows people to access and verify all information—how much money is in the fund, what payments have been made, and what benefits they are entitled to. This is a specialty of the party.
Regarding the case of distributing 7,000 suits, Suchatvee said this is not the behavior of professionals because they wouldn't engage in such actions. Starting from the first button, if the country is to prosper, look at the cabinet members. If they are knowledgeable and fit for their ministries, the country will surely prosper because these people work genuinely for the country and feel ashamed of wrongdoing. Similarly, those managing the social security fund must be professionals on the committee, not just anyone. Otherwise, it leads to wasteful spending, treating welfare as a personal benefit when it actually belongs to all insured persons.
Asked about the Bank of Thailand's report of irregular cash withdrawals amounting to 250 million baht in 100 and 500 baht banknotes before the election, Suchatvee said he trusts the Bank of Thailand's information on this withdrawal. Anyone withdrawing in that manner, if not to buy votes, then what else?
He emphasized that if people receiving the money then vote, they are corrupting their own children because they accept stolen money to buy votes. Ultimately, these same people will steal from their children, their education, their parents' welfare, and themselves. Structural failures like crane collapses and building damage stem from foundations built on vote-buying. Therefore, do not accept such money. Even worse is accepting and voting with it, which corrupts and steals from future generations because those who take the money will recoup it from their children's education and parents' welfare.
When asked if the Election Commission should take this seriously, especially in provinces where lists of vote-buying are emerging, Suchatvee said in Rayong people report that ID cards are already being collected—this is a real issue people are talking about. He addressed the new Election Commission.
He urged the Election Commission to take vote-buying seriously because it truly destroys Thailand and its future generations. Without strict enforcement, Thailand cannot survive. The Thai Move Forward Party has a clear stance opposing old-style politics and calls for openness to the party—number 49—new people, new ideas, and creative politics to care for the nation's children, providing free education up to the highest degrees.
