"People's Party" held a major rally in Phuket Province. "Natthapong" asked citizens to vote for the orange party on both ballots as before, confident that this time we can definitely bring change.
On 30 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that at the square in front of the Kathu District Office in Phuket Province, the southern branch 2 "Bin Ladong" caravan of the People's Party, led by Rangsiman Rome, deputy party leader and party list candidate, Chutima Kotchapan, party list candidate, Ramadan Panjor, party list candidate, and Sunthorn Boonyod, party campaign assistant, held a major rally of the People's Party Phuket together with Somchat Techthavornjaroen, candidate for Phuket constituency 1, People's Party number 3; Chalermpong Saengdee, candidate for Phuket constituency 2, People's Party number 6; and Thitikarn Thitiphrutikul, candidate for Phuket constituency 3, People's Party number 2. At this event, Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, party leader and prime minister candidate for the People's Party, spoke and met with a large crowd of Phuket residents attending the rally today.
Rangsiman said today is the final stretch of the election. The simplest question is: from 8 Feb until four years ahead, what kind of future does Thailand want? The same old or a new one? If a new future is desired, there is only one choice—the People's Party. In 2023, the orange party won the election, but they were not allowed to form a government. They claimed we were a threat on various issues. Senators, who once declared that if the majority of the House supports someone, they would vote accordingly, did not vote for Pita when he won. The only reason they refused to let the orange party govern is because they are afraid.
Everyone sees the problems of unequal budget distribution, decentralization, corruption, livelihood economy, and other issues. All these problems have beneficiaries and those who lose out. Only a small minority benefits while the majority does not. The point is if the orange party becomes government, those who benefit know they cannot negotiate or force Pita to yield. They also know that when this party gains power, the people's power will be at its highest.
Rangsiman added that this year those same people use old fears, afraid that if this party gains power, the nickname 'Teng Mun Dead Sure' will come true. Today we discuss issues like free visas allowing low-quality tourists in. These benefit some and involve corruption for sure. Everyone knows the behavior of these tourists; police and officials know too. The drug problem is rampant, and authorities are well aware.
These people know well that what the People's Party is doing is creating a new era, freeing Thailand from these chains. We believe corruption—the mother of all evils—must be eradicated. Under Natthapong's leadership as the next prime minister, the People's Party promises to thoroughly deal with illegal activities, whether gray or black capital. I affirm the People's Party will never betray its promises. All these problems can be managed.
That is why this election is not just a normal election of MPs but a choice about what kind of government people want: one led by Natthapong, Anutin, or Thammanat. There are only these three options. If people want change, want someone without a corrupt history and with a vision for change, whom the old politicians and interest groups fear, they must choose the People's Party.
Rangsiman continued that opponents try to defame the People's Party in every way. Everyone must help ensure these slanders never succeed. This election requires voting for the People's Party on both ballots—not only winning by many votes but winning decisively so that the runner-up cannot form a competing government. This time senators no longer have the power to choose the prime minister. This is the best chance for Thailand to change. The People's Party is ready with over 200 policies. Since those in power before had many chances but failed, it's time to elect new people and let the old guard be the opposition.
From now until election day, everyone must spread the word widely and not go alone when voting. Encourage others to go with you. I assure you that 8 Feb will be the day Thailand changes. And while votes are being counted, don't forget to watch the ballot boxes. This is our heritage—not just for our generation but for all generations.
Meanwhile, Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, party leader, said the phrase "vote for change" used today means if you vote as before, you get the same as before. If you vote for the orange party, you will get a people's government. History teaches us that if we don't vote for the orange party, old politics will return. This election, I want Phuket residents to be proud of us. Last time, Phuket gave their full support to the orange party in all three constituencies and both ballots. Last election, Phuket and the South showed they want transparent politics. I believe in the hearts of Phuket and Southern people who want straightforward, transparent politics. However, last time, I understand not everyone saw what would happen before and after the election.
In the 2023 election, the people's voices showed that with Move Forward Party, Thailand will be different. It's different because Thai people have awakened. This time we declare clearly we are serious. I am confident all three candidates can plant the orange flag again in Phuket with the votes of Phuket residents. But I want Phuket to be an example and to expand the orange base as far as possible. Krabi is one province where the orange party won all party list votes in every district, but we still haven't planted the orange flag in district votes. To achieve change, people must vote for the People's Party on both ballots.
Natthapong added that he recently followed the situation and Phuket still faces many problems needing improvement. He has personally inspected the waste incinerator; garbage still overflows, sewage is still discharged into the sea, traffic congestion persists, and the gray economy remains. These are issues we want to manage and solve together. I affirm that a people's government committed to the people's agenda must drive anti-corruption efforts, remove gray areas from Phuket, promote decentralization, stop hoarding budgets at the Ministry of Interior, and bring power and funds to Phuket so it can self-manage. I believe if this had been done earlier, we would have solved problems much better.
This election, I want everyone to vote with hope, vote for change, and believe in the power of the people. The winds of change will never return. Success is before us because senators no longer vote for prime minister. So voting both ballots this time can bring change for sure. All my candidates have good policies for Phuket, and once in government, the prime minister will support all three candidates without fail.
While everyone desires transparent politics, many budget projects in the South have been painful stories: abandoned sports stadiums, unused ports, ship graveyards, abandoned aquariums. To love the nation is to love the people. No politician who claims patriotism but commits corruption should be trusted. If the billions lost had reached the people, Phuket would have waste incinerators, sewage treatment, public transport management, and better urban planning.
Natthapong continued that everyone is at a new chapter in Thai political history. Previously, politics divided us into factions. But over the past two years, we have seen coalition governments across divides destroying the hopes of people nationwide who once fought together. Though we have not been around long, we have proven that in seven years, we have never betrayed the people even for a second. Please believe in the power of the people and in ourselves. If you agree with what we propose—to make people equal, enable Phuket to self-manage, bring budgets to the province, remove gray areas from politics, make politics transparent, enact policies benefiting the majority, and reduce electricity costs—then believe in your own power. This time, change is certain.
My voice alone is not enough. I task natural vote leaders to help. First, those who last time voted for us half-heartedly, please tell them not to hesitate this time. Only by voting for the orange party on both ballots can change happen. If this election repeats the last, we cannot change. With 400,000 party-list votes, one MP is gained, but with 40,000 constituency votes, one MP is certain. Please help spread the word. If you want a people's government, the first mission is to tell everyone to vote for the orange party on both ballots. For the second ballot, please support drafting a new constitution to move Thailand toward a better political system with better checks and balances, so corrupt politicians are truly held accountable.
