Anutin Declares Bhumjaithai Is 100% the Government of Thai People, Invites Public to Call Him Ai Nu

Anutin delivered his first major speech in Bangkok, emphasizing four mandates from the people and urging them not to fear anyone. He declared that any attempt to amend Section 112 would never succeed and invited the public to call him "Ai Nu," while mocking those who accuse him of extreme nationalism by saying they can be as nationalist as they want.

30 Jan 2026 GMT+7 Bhumjaithai Party held a large rally at Lumpini Park, led by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of Bhumjaithai Party and prime ministerial candidate, Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, secretary-general of Bhumjaithai Party; Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, campaign assistant; Mrs. Suphajee Sutthumpan, campaign assistant; Ms. Supamas Isarapakdee, Bangkok campaign commander; Mr. Eknat Promphan, Bangkok campaign commander; Ms. Sabida Thaiset, party-list MP candidate; Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, party-list MP candidate; along with all 33 Bangkok constituency MP candidates, all presenting Bhumjaithai’s key policies addressing economic challenges, security, natural disasters, and social issues.

At 19:55, Mr. Anutin took the stage, opening by asking the audience if those present were Thai people, explaining that this is why they are Bhumjaithai Party. He thanked everyone for attending the party’s first large Bangkok rally, noting they chose Lumpini Park fearing no one would come, but many showed up even beyond expectations. As party leader, he expressed heartfelt gratitude he will never forget, also thanking people nationwide who followed the live broadcast.

Today, the team brought him a script to read because this is Bangkok and the audience expects substantive content only. He joked that so far he hasn’t stayed on topic because he thinks outside the box. He believes people came today because they’re getting to know Bhumjaithai better. He asked that whatever he says be reported as coming from the party leader, not the prime minister, to avoid misunderstandings or offense. If anyone feels targeted, they should know it’s from the party leader.

Mr. Anutin continued, urging everyone to care more about the country than politics. As prime minister and party leader, he’s personally listened to voices across the nation. He’s proud of his work, summarizing four main public mandates: first, to protect the land from foreign invasion; second, to ensure they only applaud, not submit to others; third, many request not to open border checkpoints; and fourth, he promised to protect Thailand’s land with his life, vowing not to open the Cambodian border checkpoint until Thai owners of the country order otherwise, and never to be under any foreign control that ignores Thai people’s wishes.

“Today it’s clear that I and my uncle ‘Black Uncle’ take different approaches to protecting national sovereignty. Many say it’s cool to be his nephew; I don’t want to be cool because I’m not his nephew. I will never follow an uncle outside the country or a ‘daddy’ inside the country who do not benefit the Thai people or our beloved nation.”

Before continuing, he mentioned that a Cambodian minister posted on Facebook threatening that if people don’t want a third war, they should not vote for him and also urged Thais to vote for two other parties. He said if Thai voters want a government and prime minister chosen by Cambodia, they should vote for those two parties. But Bhumjaithai is 100% a Thai government, free from foreign debts, never sympathizing or aligning with foreign interests, and proud to stand in opposition.

If people follow that Cambodian minister’s advice, on the evening of 8 February, they might hear celebrations from Cambodia because the obstacle to their interests would no longer be in government, and Cambodia would share in Thailand’s new government victory. But if voters want a 100% Thai government with leaders who deter foreign aggression, they should do the simple thing: vote number 37 for Bhumjaithai candidates nationwide.

“In the past 3-4 months, even though my government was a minority, we have done things that majority governments couldn’t during their longer tenures. Being a minority government, I faced daily no-confidence threats and even was threatened with dissolution. Even if I can’t keep the government, that’s okay, but I must protect Thailand.”

Therefore, the public can rest assured: no referendum is needed. If the whole country votes for number 37, that itself is a referendum rejecting border opening. That’s final. If there are ongoing threats, the public should trust and vote for Bhumjaithai to guard the homeland for all Thais. Another mandate from the people is: 'Ai Nu must protect the nation’s institutions and prevent any harm.' He promised to defend these institutions with his life and affirmed that amendments to Criminal Code Section 112 will never happen or succeed because of the public’s support.

“Section 112: why change it? When people insult you, you sue and punish them. When someone slanders your boss, you get upset and defend them more than the boss themselves, wanting them jailed. But when someone insults the monarchy, spreads lies, or incites hatred, you say it’s okay because it’s a right. Rights exist but must not violate others’ rights—whether of the people or the nation’s sovereign.”

At the same time, Mr. Anutin stressed that attempting to pass laws to exempt offenses related to the monarchy is unacceptable. “No, not 37, sorry I misspoke. I accidentally said 37 because 37 and ‘success’ sound similar.” Thus, amendments to the constitution’s chapters 1 and 2 concerning the Thai state, royal powers, and Section 112 will never be changed.

The third mandate from Thai people to him is “You, Anutin, and Ai Nu” before telling the audience, “You can call this prime minister whatever you want—call him Ai Nu.” This was music to his ears, and he invited the crowd to shout, “Ai Nu!” again before saying, “That’s what true love sounds like.”

The Bhumjaithai leader added that he must restore Thailand’s honored place on the world stage, with bargaining power and without causing Thais to feel ashamed before any country. “In the past three months, Ai Nu, Ai Ek (Ekniti Nitithanprapas), P’Taem (Suphajee Sutthumpan), and P’Auan (Sihasak Puangketkaew)” have shown you they protect Thailand’s dignity, never fear anyone, and know how to negotiate so Thailand maintains honor and respect worldwide now and in the future.

Mr. Anutin added that one MP said he’s reckless with his words. He denied this, saying he’s actually reckless with his feet by picking fights with other countries. That MP doesn’t understand bargaining power. He believes others have recklessly antagonized Thailand and suffered consequences, needing medical intervention. Claims that he doesn’t understand Thailand or puts it at risk are untrue; every government decision aims solely for Thailand’s victory and advantage.

He emphasized that Thais must stand on their own feet, not beg. They shouldn’t just receive money handouts but be capable of earning on their own. “Don’t see Thais just as beggars. Give them opportunities. Don’t let foreigners take Thai land, and then Thais can thrive.” He then criticized Thai politicians for causing division. When representatives fight, it’s like citizens fighting each other, leaving the country vulnerable. If Thais fight among themselves, who will listen to the national anthem? These days, the anthem sounds most beautiful every morning at 8 am. “Cambodia says I’m inciting Thai nationalism, but if so, let Thai nationalism go wild.”

Toward the end, Mr. Anutin introduced Bhumjaithai leaders, noting the health system is now developed with successful personnel who rose on their own merits, not nepotism. This person will work tirelessly for Thailand’s progress. He urged the public to trust number 37 nationwide and joked with speakers not to sing "You Gave Your Heart to Me." He reaffirmed that if Bhumjaithai wins many constituencies, “Ai Nu” will be their prime minister. He also said the cabinet lineup is ready and promised trustworthy, proud governance.

After the rally, Mr. Anutin led party leaders, including Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Mr. Phatthana Phonphat, and Bangkok candidates, to collect trash and stack chairs at the front of the stage. While stacking chairs, he said, “See, Bhumjaithai cleans everything up,” then lifted a chair and added, “Clean the country properly—no fatigue. If you see trash or mess, you must clean it.”
