Disqualification of 7 Constituency Candidates from Kla Tham, Pheu Thai, Prachachon, and Palang Pracharath Parties Due to Prohibited Qualifications

The Supreme Court has ordered the removal of 7 constituency candidates across 7 provinces due to disqualifying qualifications. The Election Commission stressed that voting for these candidates is prohibited as it will invalidate the ballot.


On 31 Jan 2026 at 15:30 GMT+7, at the Election Commission office, Lt. Col. Phasakorn Siriphakayaporn, Deputy Secretary-General of the Election Commission, announced that 1 Feb 2026 is the advance voting day. He clarified the situation regarding constituency candidates whose names have been withdrawn from the election under Section 52 of the Election Act for Members of the House of Representatives. According to the latest information, the Supreme Court has ordered the withdrawal of constituency candidates’ names when the District Election Director finds that any candidate lacks qualifications or has prohibited characteristics as follows.

1. Mr. Chalorng Saengratmekhin, candidate for Nakhon Ratchasima Constituency 13, number 3, Kla Tham Party.

2. Ms. Chayanan Jindajea, candidate for Ratchaburi Constituency 3, number 8, Pheu Thai Party.

3. Mr. Ratchapong Soisuang, candidate for Tak Constituency 2, number 6, Prachachon Party.

4. Mr. Pasit Kamchai, candidate for Chaiyaphum Constituency 2, number 7, Kla Tham Party.

5. Mr. Chonsit Kaewyarat, candidate for Phuket Constituency 2, number 1, Kla Tham Party.

6. Ms. Wanmai Songsilsaad, candidate for Rayong Constituency 4, number 4, Palang Pracharath Party.

7. Mr. Krisnat Inprom, candidate for Nakhon Si Thammarat Constituency 3, number 4, Kla Tham Party.


He therefore urged eligible voters in these constituencies to be aware that casting votes for the above-listed candidates will render their ballots invalid.
