Chonlatit Reveals Choosing Bhumjaithai Means Disneyland Is Coming for Sure, Attracting Money to Thailand Without Casinos

Chonlatit Ratchakitprakarn promotes Bhumjaithai's 'Say and Do Plus' policy to unlock the southern economy. He lays out a development plan based on tourism and halal clusters, while introducing a new 'Disneyland' initiative to transform tourism and attract investment to Thailand without casinos. Tags: [Bhumjaithai Party, Southern Economy, Tourism Development, Halal Industry, Disneyland Project, Investment, Thailand]

On 31 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Chonlatit Ratchakitprakarn, a party-list candidate for the Bhumjaithai Party, shared his vision for key policies connecting southern Thailand. He championed the 'Say and Do Plus' policy, the party's core agenda designed for nationwide application, inspired by Anutin Charnvirakul, Bhumjaithai's leader, who aims to recruit talented, prepared individuals to help govern the country. This policy builds on proven initiatives to meet citizens' needs concretely. For the southern region, Bhumjaithai emphasizes livelihood policies through cluster-based development covering the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, and the southern border provinces. If inter-provincial links are fully developed—encompassing hotels, schools, and hospitals—people would no longer need to leave their areas for work.Tags: [Chonlatit Ratchakitprakarn, Bhumjaithai Party, Southern Thailand, Cluster Development, Livelihood Policies]

"The South has strong tourism potential, featuring waterfalls, lakes, and beautiful natural resources. However, communication has been lacking in the past. If we can effectively reach both domestic and international tourists, it will truly help distribute income to local people," said Chonlatit. He noted that the southern region was once abundant, but today much of this has disappeared. Therefore, Bhumjaithai aims to reclaim the 30 lost years for the southern people.Tags: [Southern Thailand, Tourism Potential, Income Distribution, Bhumjaithai, Regional Development]

Chonlatit also highlighted the South's distinctive multicultural society, especially the Muslim community, which can be leveraged to develop the halal industry—not only in food but also halal tourism, which can generate long-term economic value. He pledged to raise rubber and palm oil prices, similar to how rice prices increased during the two months under Anutin's government.Tags: [Multicultural Society, Muslim Community, Halal Industry, Economic Value, Agricultural Prices]

Regarding large-scale projects like the Land Bridge, Chonlatit stated they must be handled carefully, starting with environmental impact assessments (EIA) and prioritizing public opinion to assess readiness. He promoted the idea of the 'Entertainment Complex Plus' project—an entertainment complex without casinos—that would invite Disneyland to invest in Thailand to create a world-class tourist attraction and generate new national income. He emphasized that this Disneyland would not include casinos, adding, "If you choose Bhumjaithai, Disneyland will definitely come."Tags: [Large-Scale Projects, Land Bridge, Environmental Impact Assessment, Public Opinion, Entertainment Complex, Disneyland, No Casinos, Investment]
