“June Chayanan” Explains Media Shareholding Issue Leading to Disqualification and Withdrawal from Ratchaburi MP Candidacy for Pheu Thai

June Chayanan Jindajea, Pheu Thai candidate for Ratchaburi MP, sincerely apologized to the public, explaining that she held a 0.00001% media share which she had forgotten, resulting in disqualification and removal from the candidate list.

On 1 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Ms. Chayanan Jindajea, or June, candidate for the House of Representatives (MP) in Ratchaburi Constituency 3 from the Pheu Thai Party, addressed the case of her name being withdrawn from the candidacy throughFacebook, stating that she would like to explain the entire situation. She opened a stock portfolio account as a student in 2020 to earn extra income, trading many stocks. When the stock market declined, she decided to stop trading and left the account inactive for 4 years and 8 months.

She forgot which stocks remained in the account, one of which was 220 shares of RS Public Company Limited valued at 0.17 baht per share, totaling 37.40 baht. Given the total paid-up shares of 2,182,218,261, this represents only 0.00001%, showing she had no controlling power or voting rights.

Ms. Chayanan further stated she never intended to use media power for personal or party benefit. She has campaigned by her own abilities lawfully. Nonetheless, she accepts and respects the Supreme Court's ruling as a personal shortcoming.

"I sincerely apologize to the people of Ratchaburi Constituency 3 for my disqualification due to holding media shares. I deeply thank everyone for their support and encouragement. Although I cannot continue in this election, I remain committed to the ideals and determination of the new generation to bring issues from the field to Pheu Thai for the benefit and development of Ratchaburi Province," she said.

In closing, Ms. Chayanan urged voters to support Pheu Thai to continue policies benefiting farmers and citizens, expressing heartfelt thanks and apologies.
