Jurin, former leader of the Democrat Party, campaigned with residents of Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum to support his nephew, God Phanupong, highlighting him as knowledgeable and experienced, seeking a parliamentary seat to promote honest politics.
On 1 Feb 2026 08:00 GMT+7, Jurin Laksanawisit, former Democrat Party leader and candidate number 27 on the party list, canvassed to support Phanupong Laksanawisit, known as nephew God, candidate for MP in Constituency 13, Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum subdistrict, number 8. Jurin and Phanupong met locals at Amornpun 9 Market and Ruamchok Market, where many shoppers warmly welcomed them.
Jurin addressed the crowd from a campaign vehicle, stating that Phanupong Laksanawisit, Democrat Party candidate for Constituency 13 Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum number 8, is ready to serve as their representative. He holds two bachelor's degrees—in Innovation and Creative Industry, and Law—and a master's degree in Political Science from Chulalongkorn University. He has worked in the Democrat Party's legal team for several years and served as Jurin's assistant when Jurin was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce. Phanupong also assisted former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai as an MP assistant. Jurin expressed confidence that Phanupong's knowledge and experience will enable him to represent Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum residents effectively in pursuing honest politics.
Jurin took the opportunity to ask for support for his nephew, saying, “Please entrust nephew God, number 8, to serve the people of Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum.” He then rode on the campaign vehicle touring Lat Phrao-Bueng Kum, concluding at the PTT gas station on Kaset-Nawamin Road.
